I heard there was going to be something like achievements for the PS3 called 'acomplishments' or something..does anyone else know about this? I also heard it would release when Home releases

XBOX 360 is the new default system the way PS2 was. The only thing you showed was why PS3 will not win this gen. The multiplats are all superior on XBOX 360 if not for XBOX LIve alone.Khansoul

Am I the only one who isn't more than a bit perplexed about the Playstation stores limited offerings of classic PS One titles? Really Sony, what gives? Where is Final fantasy 7, Resident Evil 2, ChronoCross, Metal Gear solid 1, Gran Turismo? How about adding some of those rare, hard to find ebay darlings like Suikoden 2 or Valkyrie Profile?

Do Capcom and Square Enix have objections to their titles being on the PS store or something? I give Sony credit for putting up Syphon filter, Tekken 2 and CastleVania: Symphony of the Night, but they can really do more. If the titles are going to be limited, at least put up the best ones. The ones that would have the most demand. Don't you think?

in AO2 i was playing co-op with a friend... and we had not ended the second mission and my friend was like... "do you have another game"???

and i was saying the same... and we ended playing co-op RFOM

MGS4 is being hyped as being the first REAL reason to buy a ps3 (which i think is a garbage argument but whatever),,, Id never played an MGS game before, but was still hypin this one and dying to play it. More so than any other previous MGS game,, this one is appealing to mass population of gamers who previously werent too interested in the series,, no one can deny the expectations for this game far exceed past games

So i finally borrowed MGS3:Snake Eater from a buddy and gave it a try last night. I gotta say, im not too impressed. So far Ive played like 3 or so hrs,, and it seems like only 40 minutes of that was actual gameplay. And the story is not that great,, the dialogue can be really cheesy. Also, the gameplay isnt the best either. Youre pretty limited in your movements, the environments arent too interactive and i find the crouch to stand transition can be buggy and confusing.

No doubt this game will blow away any fan of the previous games,, but for the average gamer like me whos never really played a previous MGS game and perhaps bought a ps3 for this game, do you think it will be a letdown? I hope this game differs from the past ones, and is more action based and less cut scenes.

Does anybody know if MGS4 will have the 'phone conversations' where its just basically a dark screen with dialogue? thats been the worst part of game,, if youre gonna do cut scenes, dont cop out with that

thats the problem u didnt play the other games (MGS1,2, and others) thats the reason u dont get with the controls but for me are ok. and as tktosc666 sayd... isnt a FPS!!! obviously the controls and the gameplay is different

My 360 broke 2 months ago,and I would like to buy a new one.I'm not sure what to do though.I live in Europe and I'll buy my new console from the states(don't ask why).I'll either go with the elite or the PS3(because of its reliability).Is the elite more reliable than the other 360s or is it only better because of its 120GB harddrive?If it's not more reliable I'll definetly go with the PS3.I prefer the 360 though,because I have a lot of games for it and there's a lot of good exclusives.And if it's true that a blu ray 360 is coming out than I'll have to go with the PS 3 because spring break is coming and I'd like to have some fun.

I'm eager to get my hands on a PS3 for some of the games and would like to have it before the new Guitar Hero comes out. The only problem is I have a regular TV. I'm also saving up for a new HDTV, but typical me, I won't settle on anything but a flagship line, top model Sony or Samsung. I will be saving for a while and won't expect a new TV anytime soon.

My questions is: should I get a PS3 or a HDTV first? Advantages and disadvantages.

Do any of you play PS3 on a regular TV?

well i have a really old T.V. it doesnt have TV/VIDEO, instead of that it say's DVD... and i plug the ps3 with the basic cables, the yellow and withe. and is a 17"

But i have fun with that... and i prefer the games than the TV... cuz the TV is only to play the PS3 when i have time... i dont care about the graphics... i care about how good or bad is a game
