I bought a new PSU and went to install it, and like an idiot, i pulled the old one out without looking to see what went where. The new one has a ton more 4 pin connectors (dunno if thats the right term). I took my best guess and plugged them in. It seems to be working. Did I do bad? Any advice appreciated. Thank you in advance.
I'm not too worried about the price. Mind you that I won't be running out to buy anything this weekend, but I am still in school and work part time, and have very few financial obligations.
I dunno whether or not it is ATX. It dosen't say on the sticker. I looked it up, and all the pages I saw said ATX, and I believe, 24 pin. Not sure what that means... As for the card, I was gonna go for something in the Nvidia GeForce 7 series.
I'm putting in a new Vid Card, and my current 300w just ain't cutting it. I've got a HIPRO HP-D3057f3r that came stock in my HP. I was curious what I would need to know before looking for a new PSU.
