@Mercenary848: yeah, that's why I like getting consoles on initial launch, because I can enjoy the entire gen.

@Mercenary848:
I know what you mean, but if you set aside $1 a day until the NEXT box releases, you'll have enough to buy it.
:)
I'm not a technical wizard, can someone tell me if the x1x is actually worth the $500 in specs alone?
can't compare
why?
I'm sorry but as long as I don't see people running up walls and jetpacking around like a bunch of morons then I'm sold. I haven't bought a COD game this entire gen so I'm kind of itching for one.
I agree it's a stupid move by Microsoft unless they're planning to discontinue their console division which I suspect that that's what they're doing.
If that's their plan then it's a sad day for gaming.
@cainetao11:
Wouldn't Microsoft get more people excited if they just released a brand new console? I'm not even a casual gamer and even I am confused as to what I'm buying with the X1X.
@lhughey:
Naming the Playstation in number successions lets people know it's the next version of the console. Like the iphone 5,6,7....
The naming of the console is plain dumb, xbox one x? Come on. So you're telling me microsoft's NEXT console after this will just continue to play all the old games and developers will have to make their next gen games xbox one compatible?
I'm an xbox fan (as well as an PS, Nintendo, PC) I just want to see them have an identity, not be just a PC. No offense to PC guys.
@MonsieurX:
Sony pretty much had nothing to lose, they are way up this gen, so they will continue to sell the ps4 and thought what the heck, lets release an upgraded version for more money and see what happens.
Microsoft's move just doesn't make sense to me. They lost this gen, so why not just release a whole brand new console? Kind of like what they did with the 360 (my favorite console in the past 2 generations). Somebody over there is protecting their ass and refusing to admit that the Xbox one is a failure.
