personally I went with an LCD because the room I put it in has a large window and LCD has virtually no glare. Plasmas on the other hand have more glare. You might take that into consideration.

its not a problem really, just wondering why a blu-ray movie playing on a widescreen tv would need to crop the movie on the top and bottom like it would on an SD tv, it looks great, but I would prefer the screen be full.

I have a 720P Widescreen TV. Why would Blu-Ray movies chop the top and bottom of the movie? I mean my tv is already widescreen, is there a setting on the PS3 I need to change, or is it because the movie is 1080P and my TV is 720P?

Every once in a while my screen will go blank during a game. Sometimes it will come back on after a minute or so, other times I have to reboot and then maybe it will come back on. Ever heard of this?

Does your tv have different video modes. On my tv I have to push input. It changes the input from composite to HDMI and other input cables. Hope this helps.jasonyu
Yeah, that sounds like the problem. My TV is the same way. Seeing as the PS3 is detecting the HDMI, switch the input over to HDMI. I am not sure if the PS3 is a little sensitive or not but it seems like about every 4-5 days mine has to re-detect HDMI and have me reselect it as the output I want to use when I start it up. anyone else ?

The first thing I can think of is for Sony to help devs in any way possible with learning the new architechture. Possibly build a new dev software kit so it is a lot easier for them.

check this site. It has links to a lot of HD Widescreen Wallpaper sites, pretty cool if you like wallpaper other than game screenshots. www.wallpaperreview.com/widescreen.html  sorry but I cant get it to link.
