What I'm watching June Edition

Haven't done one of these in a while and figured I would jump on the opportunity of doing one while I have the chance. So let's begin! Defiance Arrow Game Of Thrones Breaking Bad Sons Of Anarchy Dexter How I met your mother

What I'm watching (August Edition)

Dexter Season 6 Community Season 4 Game Of Thrones Season 3 Spartacus Season 3 Boardwalk Empire Season 3 The Walking Dead Season 3 MOST ANTICIPATED FOR: Not much change from the last post a couple months ago. I dropped Lost for the 2nd time for a couple different reasons I don't really want to get into haha. I'm almost caught up with Dexter and can't wait for the 7th season in the Fall. Oh! I can't believe I forgot to throw in The Walking Dead on my previous post.

What I'm currently watching

Figured It' time to get another blog out there and really didn't feel like doing the usual "monthly update" one. I figured I would recap what shows I'm watching. Dexter - Season 5 Lost - Season 1 Community - Season 3 Game Of Thrones - Season 2 Spartacus - Season 3 Boardwalk Empire - Season 3 Well that's where I'm at right now in terms of TV shows I'm watching. A few of those are in between seasons or reaching their finales soon so I'm hoping something interesting comes up again.

Gaming Update - October 2011

What I recently purchased:

- Little Big Planet 2 (PS3)

I found Little Big Planet 1 to be fun when friends or family came over. It wasn't my favourite game (or even close) but it's hard to find casual co-op games these days. With a few new additions to LBP2 and a price drop I went for the purchase and got what I was expecting.

- NHL 12

By far my favourite NHL game I've ever played. I've put so many hours into this game already and I've played almost every game mode. EASHL is still my favourite things in the NHL series and I'm close to 200 games played already.

What I am playing:

- NHL 12

Like above this, I'm loving this game and it's my GOTY so far. I mostly play EASHL and Be A Pro (drafted by the Flyers after a season with the Spitfires). The attention to detail of NHL 12 is just amazing and It honestly does not get boring.

What just caught my interest:

Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City

I admit that I was already excited for this game before this post but I'verecently just looked into it a little more after playing through the first 3 resident evils (got them all free through PS+). What really caught my attention was the return of the ****c slow zombies.

Most anticipated game:

Elder Scrolls Skyrim

This was a very easy decision for me! I mean most hardcore gamers would choose Skyrim as their most anticipated game now that it's arriving in only a few more weeks. The graphics are just unbelievable and the addition of dragons makes it a true keeper. I'm just touching on a few of the things that were added this time around but I'll leave a couple videos I thought were pretty awesome.

Gaming Update - August Edition

What I recently purchased:

- Mafia 2 (PS3)

An interesting game to say the least. I never played the first one but the trailer for this one really got my attention a couple E3's back. Very fun game, especially if your a fan of the sandbox driving games. I'm also a "fan" of mafia related entertainment so I guess it was a no brainer in getting it.

- Zeno Clash (PC)

One of those hidden gems you miss on steam. Very wacky and creative at the same time. Also developed by Indie developers which was really surprising when it comes down to the actual quality of the game. The story starts out cliche like but as it progressess, there is a lot more depth to it.

- Terraria (PC)

Easily my favourite of the games I've recently purchased. You basically do what you want, build what you want, craft what you want, and kill what you want. A very creative game with new content coming out regularly. It's compared to Minecraft a lot but I haven't played minecraft so I have no say in that.

- Garry's Mod(PC)

Ah Garry's Mod. So much to say about this game because of it's infinite possibilities in doing whatever you want. Your practically thrown into a sanbox map and create what you want using thousands of different NPC's, items, and other things seen in Valve's games. You can also add things to your Gmod by downloading them off a certain website. But you basically build any contraptions or play however you like. Personal favourite of mine would include a lot of zombies and my car :).

- Borderlands (PS3) (Bought for the 2nd time)

I guess It's safe to say that I really enjoyed playing and beating this game twice. I've also abought all of it's DLC minus the last one and STILL find ways to entertain myself. Borderlands was my GOTY back in 2009 and still ranks pretty high up for me. Oh! And Roland FTW!

What I am playing:

- NHL 11

The last couple weeks of NHL 11 loom closer as NHL 12 creeps it's way up September 14. I've had an amazing run in NHL 11 by finishing two seasons of Be A GM, one season of Be A Pro, 10-1-0 Online record, and a couple days away of reaching 1000 points with my Club player.

- Demon Souls

Demon Souls and I have a love/hate relationship. I love when I win and hate when I die :P. I'm still playing this game on and off in hopes that I can complete it one day.

What just caught my interest:

Dark Souls

Alright alright! So I'm having trouble with Demon Souls, what makes you think I'm going to have problems with Dark Souls too? Pssh.

At first when I saw Dark souls, I just thought to myself that getting another game like Demon Souls would really not help my PS3 or myself so i disregarded it. Now as I started playing more Demon Souls though, I'm more interested in finishing it and playing more of the same game.

The new Bartholomew trailer for this game really caught my interest too.

Most anticipated game:

Dead Island

This was a very close decision between Dead Island and Battlefield 3 for the 2nd time in a row. Dead Island pulled through because it's closer release date and zombies. I've been waiting for this game since it's CGI trailer rocked the gaming world. A 4 player CO-OP, sandbox zombie game is a dream come true to many zombie lovers. I know it is for me!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In other news, it's my birthday next Tuesday so start making plans on what your getting me! :P

I also only have 2 months left in my Firefighting course so I'm excited for that too. Later guys.

Gaming Update - May Edition

What I recently purchased:

- Medal Of Honor

- Age of Empires 2

- Age of Empires 2 Conquerers

- League Of Legends (Didn't really buy it but I downloaded it :))

What I am playing:

- NHL 11 (This is pretty much all I play these days and those of you who have me on PSN should be able to agree :P)

- Supreme Commander 2 (Not the best RTS I've played but it's good enough for me to want to finish the campaign...so I shall!)

What just caught my interest:

Age Of Empires: Online - Just heard of this game a couple days ago and looked it up to find the same old AOE 2 with cartoony graphics. I don't know what to expect from this game but it sure caught my interest!

Most anticipated game:

If you asked me what genre of games I prefer to play I would always answer FPSs. Since Bad Company 2, games made by Dice have been my primary choice for MP shooters. Everyone has heard of Battlefield and I'm sure everyone has seen footage of Battlefield 3 in action so it shouldn't come as a surprise for this to be the most anticipated game for thousands of gamers. I hope to see some more of B3 at E3!

----------------------------------------------

Yes this was a fairly short update but I haven't been doing as much gaming as I was a couple months back. Mostly because of school (for those who don't know, I'm enrolled in courses for firefighting) or work always come up. I also haven't purchased many games since Steam's Christmas sale but I feel like one day I'm going to wake up and buy a dozen games I wanted to try.

In other news, my PS3 started working on it's own again! I didn't do anything with it once it stopped reading discs but now all of a sudden it's reading everything like a champ :)

Anyway, I plan on writing blogs more regularly again but I've said that a dozen times before and managed to squeeze one out every 2 months more times than I can remember. I've got a lot on my mind but II don't take the time to write it down...gotta fix that :).

Dead Island Trailer

I saw this trailer today and decided it was so good I would mention it in this mini blog. It was so well done and the vibe you get from it is amazing.

Dead Island Trailer

If you liked the trailer I suggest you check out some of the info on the game here. It isn't your common zombie game with a bunch of guns and running around with no fear. It's supposed to be an actual survival-horror game with weapons you would find on an island resort.

The game also has some RPG elements in it but that is enough from me, if your interested check the link above or here, here, here, or here :P

Gaming Update - January Edition

What I recently purchased:

- Half-Life 2

- Half-Life 2 Episode 1

- Half-Life 2 Episode 2

- Numen: Contest Of Heroes

- Medieval 2: Total War

- Medieval 2: Total War Kingdoms

- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow Of Chernobyl

- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call Of Pripyat

- Supreme Commander 2

- Team Fortress 2

What I plan on purchasing soon:

Nothing.

What I am playing:

- NHL 11 (Still works from time to time and loving it. I've played about 150 games in EASHL)

- Battlefield Bad Company 2 (One of few PS3 games still working; God I love this game.)

- Guild Wars (After watching some Guild Wars 2 clips I got back into this. My favourite MMO(ish) game.

What just caught my interest:

Guild Wars 2 (Loved the first game and now that it's a persistent world this time around, it's going to be amazing!)

Most anticipated game:

I was in love with Guild Wars when it came out 5 years ago and played it non-stop for about a year. I played as a Ranger/Elementalist (continued playing him now that I started again) then and the variety of skills was awesome.

This time around the world is persistent, graphiics are updated, and a whole slew of things have gotten better.

Gaming Update - December Edition

What I recently purchased:

- Amnesia: The Dark Descent

- Counter Strike: Source

- Deus Ex: Collection

- Europa Universalis 3

- Killing Floor

- The Misadventures Of P.B. Winterbottom

- Mount And Blade: Warband

- Star Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic

- Super Meay Boy (Extremely annoying game because of it's difficulty but it's really addicting and the sense of accomplishment after beating a level is awesome haha.)

- Titan Quest: Gold Edition

- The Witcher: Enhanced (Haven't played an RPG game in quite a while and what better way to start again with this amazing game. This game is what is currently consuming my time and what has stopped me from playing all the other games listed here.)

- Torchlight

- NHL 11 (Big fan of hockey and love this game, especially the EASHL.)

I also received: Braid, World Of Goo, Osmos, Machinarium, Gish, Lugaru HD, Aquaria, and Penumbra: Overture for free through Steam for Christmas.

What I plan on purchasing soon:

- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadows Of Chernobyl (Looks amazing and now that I own a Laptop capable of running it, I'm definitely trying it. If I enjoy this one, I'll buy the other two as well.)

What I am playing:

- NHL 11 (Got this for Christmas and was enjoying it until my PS3 decided to not read discs anymore. Been playing EASHL with my Pro and reached 101 points today.)

- Call Of Duty: Black Ops (I will never be able to stop playing COD MP...unless my PS3 stop working -_-)

- The Witcher: Enhanced (Loving it so far. Love how it's made for "Adults" and isn't afraid of showing it.)

- Super Meat Boy (On and off....has to be this way or I'd destroy my new laptop.)

What I need to finish:

Demon Souls (This might take a while. I don't play very much.)

What just caught my interest:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R Games (Heard good things, saw good things, want good things.)

Most anticipated game:

Although this game was released a few years back I am anticipating it for it to go on a daily deal for Steam and snagging it. If you don't know what it is look it up through google or Gamespot (duh!).

"Most Anticipated" Runner-Ups:

Brink

Oh and did I say my PS3 stoped reading discs...I'll probably get it fixed locally and if it breaks down again I'll wait for PS4 :P
