I've got a .270 ruger m77 mk II, chambered in a Winchester.

Is this adequate for black bear?

this season will be my first hunting season ever and have a few friends that go after bear, among an array of other things.

Also, any pointers to give to a novice?

I've handled guns before (former marine), so I'm fine in that department.

I'm about done getting my BS in Biology. I think i strive to have a career path that combines a little of Steve Irwin and Bear Grylls. I love things that test me physically as well as having something to do with wildlife. One of my goals in life is to work directly with wolves or tigers ( or any animal) and have my own sanctuary that rehabilitates and protects them.

I have lots, can't really just have one favorite. I liked some of the ones from Airplane!, like " Have you ever seen a grown man naked." and some from Naked Gun.

I don't think I have a favorite, but out of all the cars i've owned/used/etc, my favorite has to be my first: 1963 Ford Galaxie (they really knew how to make cars back then).
