@not-john-locke: Until EA loses the rights to them you'll have to settle with the excellent Star Wars games that have already been made. Star Wars Galaxies is about as real as it gets.

Though currently this is Nintendo acting preemptively because the SJW have them scared and Nintendo doesn't want to upset them, so no one is calling for censorship yet here in the west, or no one that I've seen. @stage4saiyan: There was already controversy. Kotaku reported about it a while back when the game released in Japan. And SJW attacked Nintendo over the Sims knockoff they made because it didn't have any LGBT characters. They attacked Dragon's Crown over a character having exaggerated boobs and Kotaku writers even harassed the creator who is of a different culture and could barely speak English to bait him into saying stuff they could use against him in their smear campaign against the game. This is why you should always pay your protection money to big bully sites of extremists. Feminists often throw fits about female characters in games and most of them don't even play games, and then they turn around wailing about how all people that play games are sexist fedora wearing neck beards or smelly wizards and other nonsense.

So yeah, there would be controversy. Social Justice Fanatics want you to live how they say you should live, and create art how they say you should create art, and if you do not do what they tell you to do then they will attack you and harass you until you conform to their fanatical religious-like views. These Liberal Tea Party sites would definitely attack Nintendo over this game having drugging and gay conversion therapy. Even I'm offended that they thought gay conversion therapy was something okay to add to the original version of the game, and doing it against someones will is even worse for them to add, but I'm entirely against censorship and if they are stupid enough to think that is something that should have been added to the original version then it should not be changed when ported. Imo, if they are dead set on changing something they should have the character that has gay conversion therapy forced on her to kill herself halfway through the game to be more realistic to what happens to people that go through this type of "therapy" in reality.

Good on him. Microtransactions are a scam that is killing games and gaming. F2P/B2P has completely killed MMO gaming, and I'm not sure it will ever recover. Only those making money off them and those with a farm animal mentality like them.
