@chris91090 I played the halo and the cod series, not to mention TLOU online and ghost recon long ago, and the fact of the matter is that competitive gaming, at least for FPS, is still the same. The modes in titanfall are the same. The core concepts are the same (I literally play this game like I do COD, but with alot more jumping, and I do very well). In fact, camping might be the way to go sometimes in this game, depending on the mode, so it hasn't fixed that. Kind of sick of tired of how this game is called revolutionary when I feel i wasted 67$ after tax. Now, Killzone's changing battlefield, TLOU's tense, slow multiplayer, are what I consider innovative. Not this game
@Sevenizz I have it on PC, and it's totally overrated -_- the magic was gone for me before I reached level 50 (believe I was at lvl 49 when I stopped playing). If you bought the season pass, you've been ripped off, if we haven't all been ripped off already by the 67$ CAD I bought it for
@nl_skipper I agree. The multiplayer is where the gameplay really shines. I play this more than I do on titanfall on my PC -_- TLOU MP is SO much more deeper, and is simply the BEST stealth multiplayer game out right now, and the most consistently tense multiplayer experience I've ever had. There is one big problem with it though, and that is that the teams are at times unbalanced, and this happens more often than I would like. But nonethless, it's just WAY overlooked.
As to comment with the gamplay of the single player, I still loved it, but yeah it is a bit too straight forward, but so was uncharted. However, if you try TLOU MP, you'll probably grow on it and think of the game in a different light. The game as a whole is not overrated at all.
@PacoTaco It's not about hand holding, really - it's about having a good tutorial that doesn't leave out the details (so "youngins" and veterans alike dont have to results to mr. Google and forums to find out how the game mechanics work).
@Romeric87 The points Tom mentioned in his Last of Us review that "bumped" down the score I did not mind/notice much (such as AI mishaps - which was to serve gameplay and reduce player frustration). It's still one of the worst reviews on gamespot. If Last of Us gets even nominated for game of the year across all sites/organizations (which it will), you can probably tell from that fact how bad that review was. Hmmm - a game given an average score becomes GOTY? Yep, that review was spot on.
The special case with Tom is that he has his own view of what games should be like, and that's a bias that will follow him for the rest of his career, better or for worse. I have my own bias of games, don't get me wrong, but if I'm reviewing games for a living, I try to go into a game with a blank mindset.
