I don't think a violent video game can create a violent person, but I'm sure they do influence an individual who is already violent or suffers from some sort of mental disability. I strongly agree that parents hold a lot of the responsibility on what games their child plays and for how long they play them, Unfortunately I think a lot of parents are just a little 'out-the-loop' with regards to the sort of hardware their children use.
