It's actually my first smartphone. I have unlimited data and texting and I was just wondering what are the best initial things to do? It's a Samsung Galaxy S2

I downloaded Pandora, and Angry Birds and Sound Hound (Is Shazam better?)

I was wondering what to do to keep battery life going and how maybe I can get some free music if possible? What are some good apps, don't really care about games.

I turned off all the things I'm not using like 4g and 3g, and turned the brightness down, and have a dark wallpaper.

I don't really know how to turn off apps or whatever. Deactivate them is something that can seem to be done?

It's a pretty awesome phone, I can't wait to start using it for real, because my numbe hasn't registered yet, but I can do a lot with just Wi-Fi!

Don't drink, don't smoke, don't do drugs.

I hate when people try to pressure me into these things or ask a bunch of questions or try to make up reasons why I dont.

Why don't you drink, weirdo? What other bizzare habits do you have? Are you human?

I play sports, work, and play video games. You know, stuff that doesn't require drinking or drugs at all.

[QUOTE="gotdangit"]

Yea I'd really like to hear some good stories on this subject.

Specifically girls giving numbers to guys.

Cause guess what, I talk to this cute asian chick at my job, everything is perfect, cute, funny, athletic, and around my age.

We just talked for a few minutes she comes down ( I work at a hotel ) asking if starbucks is open, I said I'm not sure but you should go check it's right around the corner. She says, no it's too cold plus I forgot my wallet in my room. ( really?) So we talk for a bit and whatever she leaves.

The next day, my friend texts me who works at the hotel saying this cute asian girl just dropped off a gift for me.

When I got to work he handed me a little starbucks cup that had a note in it. It says "Hey I wanted to see if you wanted to grab starbucks with me, but I missed you" Signed her name and her number.

So I text for a bit while I'm working and she's cool and nice and whatever, we're talking for a bit. She finally asks what school I go to and how old I am. And I said I'm in community college. And she goes to some private school. Turns out I'm 20, and she's 16!

What the friiickkk?!!? Poop sauce dude, that sucks. She still wants to talk to me though, she said she didn't care haha.

Nice story huh, first time a girl ever gives me her number like that in such a cute way, and she's 4 years younger than me.

Hexagon_777

That really is rather cute! My story is nowhere near as cute, but the chick in question is also 16, Asian, cute, funny, slender (but not athletic as she's incredibly lazy), and interested enough to have offered me her first kiss thrice already making me go "...What?" as that stuff usually doesn't happen to me. I'm 23, however, and I'm friends with her older sister. Still, they believe I'm a decent guy and me being straight edge probably makes that true but I still feel guilty for being attracted to said 16 year old. xD

Dude it really sucks. That is kind of weird that she wants to kiss you and you're so much older. I mean I don't really know what girls are thinking at that age. They think it's cool or something to be talking to an older guy or if everyone around their age is too immature or what? I'm not sure. It seems hard for me to imagine myself when I was 16 dating anyone much older than me.

The thing is now, she is cute, and she seems nice and mature, but I don't know how she really is. You know, it's not like i'm going to wait 2 years for this girl because I know she is the one. She's gonna grow up and realize how silly it was that she was talking to someone so much older at that age. Or maybe when she is a little older she might date someone older. But at the age. No. Jailbait.

And yes I'd say it is pretty easy to get someones number. If you know a mutual friend or whatever. Or if a bunch of people are going to hang out, you can just say hey give me your number in case someone gets lost, or I need to say something or whatever.

Totally different story when you go up to a complete stranger and just try talking to them and give them your number and hope they call back.

Or you don't drink? Are your parents alcoholics? Is that why you don't drink because you don't want to become like them?

No, drinking is stupid and I don't need it to feel good or have a good time.

I had a friend that did something similar.

She was in I guess an abusive relationship, and I was friends with her. I think she started to like me. We hung out a few times she was nice but she never mentioned her boyfriend, although I knew she had one.

One day she suddenly just disappears. She changed her number or something, deleted her facebook and was just gone.

2 years later she's back, back on facebook, gives me her number, has a new boyfriend (who she still didn't talk about) and is still a flirty girl.

She seems more stable now. I did get to meet her boyfriend and she started talking about him now. I don't know how stable she really is though.

I'm guessing she had a really terrible break up, hearts broken, she was traumatized and needed to get away. Maybe some family problems as well.

She dyed her hair, she's back, but lives with her grandparents and at her boyfriends house. I don't really know about him, he's like almost twice her age. I think she's in it because he's gives her a lot of attention and probably happened to be in the right place at the right time where she needed someone to give her attention. Possibly also money.

Anyways, sorry for the story, but this sounded so familiar to my friend.

[QUOTE="gotdangit"]Oh God, I would buy a 3ds in a heartbeat if those games came out. I need that!!!!HowlingLotus

I have a 3DS already, but I'm glad to see I'm not alone in remaking the older Zelda games. I've visited Link's Awakening DX on the eShop countless times, but everytime I say no and exit.... in hopes of a remake:cry:

Yea dude, I haven't played DX in so long, and i think I've lost my seasons and ages. I always played Ages and my bro with Seasons. Those games were the best games for GBC hands down. So much went into them. Plus the after adventure going to the other world thing. I never got it to work, but I would hope if they remade them you'd still be able to do that.

I valet cars

lukeyAUS

Is that job as glamorous as I imagine? Do you often get to hop into slick cars for just that brief moment to park them?

My job is awesome, and yes I get to jump into cars for a whole 2 minutes to park them and back up into parking spaces. It's like a puzzle trying to park them all, and fitting between two and strategizing the best place to park each car, determining how big the car is, and the best fit.

The worst part is when they leave a fart trap in their car for you.

But it is fun to drive other people's cars if even only for a few minutes.
