It seems like every single negative comment in this section has something to do with gender as a group. Granted, her only complaint was about how women were being portrayed in the game, but notice how hardly anyone actually tries to see what she is talking about. It is all this garbage about how her agenda is getting in the way an objective review, all for simply wanting to point it out.
Most people just lump her in with the extreme feminist group and simply assume everything she says is a lie and is there to further oppress developers with this PC garbage. Simply by complaining, she is put into a group who's word is not to be trusted, and thus her claim becomes invalid and ignored. And it didn't just happen this time, it happens all the time. Anytime there is a question about how women are portrayed in video games, the same defense comes up: "feminist." With that all arguments are ignored.
Have you ever thought, maybe they have a legitimate concern?
@goggles123456 I like the way you think. It is especially funny that they all jump to reasons of gender and sexuality to justify why someone would give this a 9/10.
@rollerloller Listen dude, I am going to buy this game no matter what the reviews say, and I would never call GTA as a whole shallow. GTA has a history of doing what she was talking about, I know this. What I am saying, is that if their portrayal of women is a satire, it is a bad one because there is no point it, no progression of thought.
Do I know this to be true about this game? no. but since she has talked about it, maybe there is a chance that it is present in this game as well.
@RecurringEspion err... is that the whole quote? He wrote the book Candide (hilarious) and said that thing I quoted (which kinda underminds itself, ironically).
@rollerloller I suppose you have as well? Clearly I haven't but she did. And she criticized it for something she didn't like. To simply ignore it because you think she has a nefarious agenda is short sighted.
@rollerloller satire: the use of humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule to expose and criticize people's stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issue.
There actually has to be a point to portraying women in certain light for it to be satirical. otherwise it's just shallow.
