Lie, graphics actually can be a very heavy reason for a customer if he has to chose the same game between a console with ugly "pictures" or another with much better graphics.

And I'm not even talking about third party support, they are ignoring your system Nintendo, it is so dated they'll almost have to do the game twice: one for current gen and another watered down for the WiiU.

This is just another weird nobody-will-buy-that craziness by Nintendo just like the GB Micro or the Mini Wii.
