theyre moving away from historical and doing warhammer next. where ya been??

why do you think its all magic spells now?

cool huh? ahh marketing geniuses cant live with them cant live with them

hvypetals

They're not "moving away" so much as trying the fantasy genre. Absolutely no better way than to start with Warhammer, it's an excellent match. Imagine TW with dragons, undead, ogres, etc. There is really some huge scope here. Picture the battles from Lord of the Rings if you're unfamiliar with Warhammer - all traditional fantasy races will be there to create huge diversity.

Remember that CA has two branches that pump out titles staggerdly. Rome 2 is from the British team, however Shogun 2 and Medieval 2 were from the Australian team I think. The Australian team will be bringing the next title, and I have high hopes.

But the next historial entry after that could be anyone's guess. They've done a sequel to every version so far except Empire, which I would doubt they would go back to very soon. Medieval 3 would be a safe bet, but I wouldn't expect it for another 4 or 5 years.

I've stopped my campaign at about 7 or so hours in basically because I figure I'll wait until the end of semester (I'm at uni, in Australia) which is a couple months from now, then I'll get an extra couple months of patches which will hopefully give me a much better game. I'm primarily looking for: - Better optimisation (graphics mainly) - Superior AI - Harder difficulty (both campaign and battlefield) As much as I like a lot of the game, these issues are simply killing the experience for me. I suspect many others are in the same boat. But the damage has certainly been done now - it's a shame it just so happened on their biggest and most anticipated title yet.

ALL HAIL PC! I might actually get this game now. I definitely did not want to get this on next gen and have to fork out the monthly subscription fees for Gold or PS+

If you watch the Stage 1 sign-off of Gamespot's E3 stage show, Jeff Gerstmann and Justin Calvert mention how they got to play it behind closed doors, and they seemed super excited about it and how fun it was - a highlight of the show for each of them. Shows that the quality of what we saw on-screen translates into quality gameplay. So yes, I sure think that it's going to be good :P

Saves me from the chains of the Xone. Definitely upgrading my comp and picking this up for PC.

Anyone else breathe a sigh of release when they heard it was coming to PC?
