Should I just buy a mobo with the highest FSP (1600) supported? whats the risk of overclocking the CPU, will I be risking burning out my computer?f-a-d-3You will most likely not got higher than 400fsb on a q6600 si quads have high multipliers. You also have to take into account that you must match the speed of your ram with your fsb.
[QUOTE="greatmax1"][QUOTE="f-a-d-3"][QUOTE="IQT786"]the best thing todo is get a p35 or p45 mobo ddr2 and a antec 900 for single card or antec 1200 if going dual cardf-a-d-3
Thanks so much I'm gonna look into that ASAP.
I think you should put more money into a good mb and stick with your ddr2 ram.How much do you think I should invest into the mobo alone?
If you want to OC your q6600, you could look into a maximus formula 2, it overlocks very easily. It;s 311$ on the site you mentioned earlier.[QUOTE="IQT786"]the best thing todo is get a p35 or p45 mobo ddr2 and a antec 900 for single card or antec 1200 if going dual cardf-a-d-3

If you do, then you should probably keep your ddr2 ram. If you plan on OCing your quad or uying a better processor 775 processor then i think you should go with some good ddr3 ram. It's not as expensive as it used to be and the latencies are dropping a lot.f-a-d-3
Do you know when the i& and the mobo that supports LGA1333 will come out?And how much it will cost?
Intel said in November, but they will most likely be hella expensive and not that much better than the latest quads etc. I personnaly went with DDR3 when i changed my mobo/cpu/ram because a friend of mind sold me 2gbs of corsair 1333mhz. I'm buying 2gbs of patriot viper 1600mhz 7 7 7 18 which i plan on OCing to 1800mhz, for $200CAD. For around 350$ you can get 4gbs of very good ram.I have a Q6600 @ 2.GHz if I got the Thermaltake CL-P0401 how much do you think I can OC my CPU? Do you think I will be able to reach 3.4GHz?
Are you getting an intel or nvidia mobo? It matters because of the fsb ratios with the ram and all. You have to plan that.[QUOTE="X360PS3AMD05"]Why does it say 3.4ghz then?.........................f-a-d-3
Well the spec in my sig is the ocmputer I want, Let's just say it's my goal PC the only thing stopping me is the overclocking! How sad is that? And I am feeling that inside me computer is really messy. things will probably change when I get the Antech 900?
Get the 1200, the antec 900 is actually quite small. If i were you i would really invest some more money into a 1200, youre probably going to keep that case for years, it's pretty much almost perfect.[QUOTE="greatmax1"]Do you plan on upgrading to an I7 proc when they come out? Don't you already have 4GB of DDR2?f-a-d-3
Yes I have DDR2 already, is it worth going to DDR3? I'm buying a new mobo and was wondering if I should buy a mobo that supports DDR3.
Do you really have to buy a new motherboard? What's wrong with this one? If it's only to switch to DDR3 i say it's not worth it since you already have 4gbs of RAM.I don't think the enemies respawning at roadblocks should adapt to your earlier tactics. How are they supposed to know what happened last time? You killed them all, and there was no way for the dead guys to tell the other ones what happened. I must admit it's kind of annoying that the huts and roadblocks get rebuild and repopulated so quickly. As for the malaria, it's probably incurable if you don't go to the hospital/get professional treatment.Ok so everyone who played this game for a while now knows that this game game is in desperate need of improvement. What would you have changed if you were the developer?
My biggest gripe with the game are the respawing enemies and repopulating roadblocks. I would have made the post repopulate in 3 days. And all the destroyed huts and objects should stay destroyed. THen the repopulated eniemies should learn from the last encounter, say you sniped them one by one, well now they are not going to stand in the open anymore they are going to be in a hut or behind cover and they will have patrols looking to flush out snipers. Or say you went in machine guns blazing, well now they will have and snipers on vantage points and guys with shotties ready for close combat. Something along these lines would not only make every encounter unique but would also give you a feeling that you are making an impact on the ai and the world and that its punching back. Instead of respawing the exact same scenario.
Also incurable malaria, gimme a break ...
So it seems the team put alot of effort into the engine and fell short of making the game fun. Ubi montreal seems like a bit of a fail dev with a lot of cash. What would you have improved if you were project manager ?????
