I bought i too. So far its good but im not happy with how it runs on my pc. It looks good but the shadows distance is bad, i have this frame skip glitch in kingdom and i have black bars i can remove. Other then these technical problems i cant complain.
Don't worry about the naysayers. I've been using Vista Home Premium 32bit for nearly a year now, and I got System Shock 2 running FLAWLESSLY. I simply had to change the affinity in the process to one core (Since the game does not support multiple processors). I actually remember having problems running the game on XP. Rottenberry
Youre lucky to have encountered only this problem. Chances are he will have to get 2-3 fixes to get it working right. Now, to theGTAvaccine, there is a whole forum dedicated to that : www.ttlg.com . There is also www.strangebedfellows.de for useful doanloadable fixes. I recommend you get it (i actually payed around $60 for my copy + shipping) and if you ever have problems just pm me about it. If its on xp, then there is a 100% chance we can get it working.
I bought it a week after it was released last year. Back then it had some serious performance issues so after alot of tweaking and testing with the files, i put it aside. Almost exactly one year after its release, i started playing again with the OL mod and now im addicted. But i think i mgiht stop playing it for a while because im now in pripyat and my framerate is absolutely horrible and it makes it almost impossible to play. On top of that, not only do i have to fight my way through pripyat, but i also have to fight 2 ****ing controllers and a horde of zombies.
