[QUOTE="greatmax1"]And for you, pick pocketting is an essential aspect in RPGsdakan45
Its one thing to play a linear level design game and make dialogue choices and another thing to have a character creation system with statistics that change the skill statistics and you acquire pekrs later. Also having a huge map to explore with many diffirent things that you can find, that alone increases the exploration element which is important in an rpg. Also you can roam around the big map and kill monsters to level up your character, visit a town and buy stuff, sneak and pickpocket various npcs and attack npcs and change your karma to evil and be an enemy to the faction you attacked and be chased by bounty hunters.
However in mass effect you can be evil but you cant attack any npc you want, neither you can steal from them to gain cool items or open any boxes at any room and steal items that belong to others. Let me see you doing that above Normandy;) Plus you can play as a stealthy character! Those are actions that are changing you stats towards others in the game. I dont need cheap dialogue options to choose kill someone!!
"Good sir, i am gonna kill you, YARRRR!!!" Instead of that i just switch to vats and shoot a specific body part with no needless talk. There you go, in mass effect 2 i cant blind someone by shooting at the eyes or cripple him. Heres another rpg element right there:), how a crippled arm or leg affect your character's statistics. Also inventory and carrying weight. But i guess we should remove inventory altougether in order to "improve" the rpg factor because RPG=/= Inventory:P
Seriously point me one rpg like game that does not have an inventory? Even deus ex and stalker have that are catergorized as shooters!
We're not comparing which game has more RPG elements here. Fallout 3 is definitely closer to being an RPG then ME2 is, but does that make it a better game? The choice is up to the player. Personally, F1>F2>ME2>F3[QUOTE="dakan45"]
Sorry bud, i am a huge fallout 2 fan and fallout 3 is more rpg when it comes to statistics and abilities. No way the simplistic skill system in ME2 is better. First of all there are no misses depending your skill, only accuracy loss like a shooter, second there is no stealth or pickpocketing, third there is no exploration that made fallout games great. Not counting fallout tactics ofcourse!
Fallout3>>>>>Mass effect 2!
So what?
I'm comparing games, not RPG elements. Your whole post's point is void if you were answering me.
 What? I just showed you rpg elements that ME2 lacks, anywaywhy do i bother, for you every game is an rpg as long as it has dialogue options!! And for you, pick pocketting is an essential aspect in RPGsConsole gamers miss out on a lot of great games on pc too. Life goes on.
That really sounds like an overheating problem. Big game releases like this get a lot of attention and people who aren't too tech savvy end up having problems, often caused by their weak pc. I'm not saying this is your case, but it might be so for the other guys on the bioware forum. I've played for 45h and have not had a single problem. To OP, have you tried toning down your GPU OC?You are not the only one having these problems, go to bioware forums and check out all the technical support threads. They made a great game but god they should had made sure it works before releasing it.
I have ME2 on PC as well, it works around 10 mins and then it crashes and instantly shuts down my whole computer. Couple of times from my attempts to make it work it has crashed so bad I couldn`t boot my computer on the first try after the incident. Some people have even reported that after ME2 crashing on them they haven`t been able to play any games using directx, and had to remover their GPU from motherboard and reinstall the whole thingon BIOS.
This might be the most terrible release ever.. hope they release a patch to fix it soon.
