Becuase I have a X1950 pro and it runs like crap? Not to mention I can pretty much max out games like Oblivion, FEAR, Titan Quest, Rainbow 6: Vegas, HL 2, Dark Messiah, not only that, but they look better anyways. I am running Windows XP pro too.
Btw, I originally had a 6800 GT when this game came out, I went out and bought a X1950 pro becuase I thought the game was great and wanted to see it in all it's glory, funny thing is, the game performs WORSE!

radeon x1900 and x1950 have problems with this game. I didnt try it yet (getting it on sat.) but i saw on the forums thata lot of people are having trouble will these series. Try patching the game, switching drivers, and apply some game tweaks you can find on the stalker board here or search the net.
