i got the solution, read carefully : start > control pannel > regional and language options > advanced options > the first choice you are given : change it to english usa or english canada
i got a slightly more powerful card than you, and i can run fear and oblivion at 1280x1024 4XAA 16XAA fine, with maybe some hitcing on oblivion because i only have 1 gb of ram, but you will be fine. I dont know about supreme commander though, but dont expect to max it out with no problem...
what is usually do is run the game totally maxed out at 1280x1024 when i play the game for the first time. Then after playing a few hours, i make changes so that it fits my standards and make a good compromise between performance and quality. I dont mind spending a lot of time tweaking the game and searching the net for performance guides and stuff, as long as i am happy in the end ^^
i think FFVII deserved every single bit of credit and hype it had. Can you tell me exactly guys what you didnt like in FFVII? I honestly think its the best FF and RPG ever created, and is up top on par with Loz:oot in my top games of all time.
i cant be scared by a game when you are so overpowered. I mean in hl2, you move so fast and jump so far running around with a rocket launcher, and just bhop and feel REALLY more powerful than your opponents. For me its easier to be scared in a game like condemned, where you only have a damn leadpipe to defend yourself against crazy sociopaths, and you also walk a lot slower.

I agree with this, Condemned was great. Never look at mannequins the same again. That mall level where you never knew which one was watching you or following you. I made sure to bash the head off all of them. Its also great how the guys will hit you out of nowhere then run and hide behind stuff etc. haha i felt the same way!!! I also made sure every mannequins would be headless and harmless. *spoilers* My favorite moment was when you have an hallucination and you are surrounded by mannequins, and each time you trun around they are in differents positions. EeeeeK!
