Actually dude that album has mass amounts of good songs on it. Could be a classic.

You don't need to say mass **** for an album to be good. It's possible to have a really good album that isn't all deep like that. You can still have fun listenin to his ****.

I guess I think of classics in a different light. Making an album with all good songs (i.e. no filler) isn't a classic, it's what an artist is supposed to do. A classic is an album with a bunch of classic tracks; none of the tracks are classics. They're good, but what's so special about them that any of em could be considered classic? Wayne isn't even that spectacular lyrically. His ability to ride a beat & his charisma (he comes up with a catchy metaphor/punchline at times, too) doesn't make his album classic. For instance, one of my favorite tracks is Best Rapper Alive, but dude just saying stuff. He stops talking about BEING the best rapper alive after like 4 bars, and if you make a song with that title, you either talking about being the GOAT or you're making your case; he does neither. He kinda changes his rhyme scheme on each of the three verses, but he doesn't do it to the effect that, say, TI did on the last verse of I'm Talking To You. And he's isn't even spitting anything memorable.

I'm not saying it's a classic because it simply has a lot of good songs. I'm saying that the songs in it are a pretty different style than most hip hop was at that time, making a lot of those tracks classic in (my, partially and) other's opinions. I'm just saying I understand how certain people would call it a classic. I really like the album a lot. I say it's near a near classic. The beats are just so fresh and just give me this certain feeling of excitement, and his flow is so different than most rappers' flows that it's refreshing to listen to for me.
