I agree, but this is the opposite of master race: getting the leftovers of the other platforms makes the PC more like masterbeggar than masterrace, as someone has smartly pointed out in this thread.
Let's hope that Star Citizen will have a good single player FPS/action campaign, because I don't like MMOs, and neither spaceships/commerce/exploration RTS.
Maybe I didn't explained it too well: I meant take advantage of PC hardware in a way that console couldn't handle (huge explorable maps, destructible environments, lots of stuff going on at the same time, and all that with "next-gen" graphics, like crysis did when it came out in 2007).
This would be the real superiority, not run the same corridor, indestructible-everything, interactivity-lacking* games but at 60fps and in 4K resolution. No one develops AAA titles for PC anymore, we are the real peasants of the game industry, with only indie and underground "exclusives".
MGSV and Rise of TR don't take advantage of the PC hardware in the least, I'm sure I could run them at ultra settings without problems, I ran The Division, an open-world game, maxed-out (higher than ultra) at a framerate of 25/30 and I have a pretty old videocard.
*= ever notice how you cannot pick up objects anymore? In the games of the recent past you could pick up, throw and smash almost any object, now anything seems bolted on the ground/tables, this make the maps feel like fake cardboard/plastic/polystyrene movie sets.
Superior hardware used solely to play broken console ports, what a waste: name a recent (i.e. from this decade) AAA title that took advantage of the "superior hardware".
P.S. I play on PC, and a decently powerful one, but the only thing I play that can put strain on my hardware are console ports (AAA PC titles are too old to put my hardware in trouble).
