I think Gamespot needs to put some heuristics in place in order to release more consistent reviews. Most of the problems pointed in this game can also be found (in tons) on games like the new SpiderMan, The Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn and Watch Dogs 2 (to name a few) and all of those games got much higher scores.
@LasDK: Dude come on. If users reviews on metacritics was the important data they would use that up front, and not the critics. The biggest problem for me on GTSport is the bad UX/UI and most importantly, the fair play they try to push but which is very broken. I was penalized twice in a race for someone who crashed on purpose on my car from the back. This person was not penalized at the end of the race. I do agree with you that GTSport drives better (but that is totally personal taste level criticism), and I also discard the critics about the lack of content... it has enough there. However, the game doesn't know how to be fun, the rewarding system is terrible, AI dumb and this "fair play" rules they are trying to implement is very poorly executed. So yeah, FOrza 7 is a much more pilished and well designed product. And I think the backlash against forza 7 is because of those lootboxes / microtransactions that nowadays are reason for riots.
@LasDK: GT Sport is scored 75 on metacritics and Forza 7 is 86. And it should sell more since the install base for Playstation 4 is like 3x the Xbox Ones.
If it takes a month for someone to "really" play the game and give it a favorable score, then the game must not be that great, right? Videogames are not wine.
@youre_a_sheep: I am with you on this. Which is unfortunate because I do love the story and the depth in crafting weapons and looting system of the game, but I coudn't finish the game because it got really boring very quickly form me because of those dumb enemy encounters.
