i was gonna say if u really care about playing old games on a new system see if you can ebay the original 60. i freaking love it, the emulation is on a different level comparing to newer hardware series. But than again i am sure you got a ps2 hiding somewhere so why not just use that to play PS2 games....

on a side note, i really dont see a point in this. there are so many amazing games out for PS3 that i really dont see how some of you find time to put in for PS2 games!

i do agree with the late summer release. internal testing started a month ago, and while i dont think there is much to be tested for what we really needed it, Sony will want every facet and function to work smoothly and w/o glitching. with that in mind i am willing the wait for august, september, which is when i think it will show up!

not to be mean but how can u not improve on both. NBA was better than previous 2 years but still dismal, and Madden didnt go so well.

Now more objectively i say that Madden will improve in the tech dept. considering they said PS3 is now the leading platform. However content wise, now that they are alone there is no one to push them so they have to pace themselves and invent things on their own which means being a lot more patient, and pacing yourself. We might see some new stuff but i wouldnt bet on a hell of a lot of change!

as for NBA, the gameplay got a kick last years but man whatever they do will be better. There were just too many flaws and lackluster issues in the game!

i guess i will reinforce some of the previous posts. this is a good all around set of games that eaily transcend genre preference:

CoD4, both R6V games, Hot Shots, Ratchet and Clank (simply awesome btw!), DMC4 (must have!) there are racers such as Grid and GT5 coming up but for now look into Dirt and Motorstorm. Umm i gotta be skipping something. Ah GH3 or Rock Band is always fun.

Also look into DLC stuff. Everyday Shooter, PJ Monsters are both amazing games, as well as Warhawk. Coming up u Plunder, Elefunk, Echochrome and so.

Do a little research and you'll find tons of good stuff, but i think i've hit the gist in my two lists!

couple of points that u didnt clearly research. also seems to me that u havent really gotten into KZ as well.

So lets begin. Since when do GS reviews matter? these guys create probably second worst reviews in the industry, with only worse being the G4 crap. KZ was very ambitious, clever game. Additionaly it had an awesome story, and some very new or never beofre seen game mechanics.

Given those factors, the power of PS3, ludacris budget they have now, KZ2 should get massive buzz. Probably second only to SOCOM: Conf. and SOCOM 4 respectively, and that being more or less due to hordes of rabid online play fans such as myself. The thing is very much the same as with RFOM. I found it rock solid, but not amazing. However it was a setup and a stepping stone for a sequel of epic proportions, which is now in motion.

You see, simple minded ppl (such as those that marvel at a 3rd game in the series as one of the greatest shooters ever, while the game is actualy a prettier clone of the 1st two installation, which have also just been simple overrated, and somehow manage to pit it against a classic such as CoD4 and than flip out for losing the battle in the GoTY race) dont have a say so in these matters. Innovation, originality, quality is what drives good games, and if someone like GS gives a trash review, it still doesnt change the voice of those that matter, ie. the gamer. Media writes to earn paychecks, we make or break the games, buy choosing to buy them or not. (Also KZ sold VERY well)

I can give u dozens of examples of multiplatinum games that GS gave 7-8 on the scorecard. So do yourself a favor, learn to appriciate good things in life, read more and get a mind of your own!
