It usually is because of first party titles, like SMG2. You are prob right too, after that I would play it less and less. I guess it just feels weird not having a nintendo console after all the years...

Hi everyone. I was wondering if any of you bought wii at one point, sold it for whatever reason, and then re-bought it? I had wii for a long time a couple years back, but wasnt too satisfied with the games at that time. I sold it for another system. While I am still happy with the other system, I feel the void now of not having the Wii. I know its completely dumb, but I am contemplating getting it again (its pretty reasonably priced on the net). Should I get it this time around? How could my expectations be different and when you did this, did it end up being better than the first time around? Thanks

it might, but the PS2 numbers keep going up as it's still selling, last figure I think is at 150 million, and it'd be significant if it did because the PS2 pretty much had no competition last gen with the Xbox only selling some 25 million and the GameCube only selling like 22 million, right now the Wii is at like 85 million and that's with the Xbox 360 selling 52 million and the PS3 selling 48 million, so if the Wii does beat PS2 lifetime sales that'd be pretty significantlamprey263
I totally agree. The PS2 arguably was so successful because it had market dominance due to lack of serious competition. I for one remember myself reluctant to buy Xbox because it was a new console from a new company, coupled with the fact that the PSX was previously pretty dominant in terms of volume of developer support. ---With much stiffer competition this time around, and that we are already almost 5 years into it, I would be very surprised to see the Wii break the sales of the PS2.

While the trade is pretty confusing, we are trying to make sense of it here in Boston. The talk seems to be mainly focused on the Celts not wanting to sign perk for big bucks next season, as his contract is up. They offered him a contract extension at the beginning of the season and he turned it down. Yes he was a huge non-stat type of player for us (d-fense) but we will be able to fill in the spot... or will we? Trading away Erden is the mind boggler here. He is young, and with time will get better. Why would we get rid of a younger (in my opinion more promising as well) center for a slightly older center in Kristic? No one can figure that one out here. As for Robinson, we will mostly miss his emotional spark and team camaraderie. Obtaining Jeff Green seems to be the benefit for us, as he can be a #3 or 4 guy capable of scoring. He can give extremely valuable rest to Pierce and Allen by covering the Lebrons Wades and Kobes of the league while still being an offensive threat. Hes a young, talented guy that has put up 41 in a game before in his career. But the biggest question mark revolving around the move is how it will affect the bond of the team. Part of the thing the Celts have up here is companionship and friendship. These guys truly trust one another and play like it. Hopefully this bond isnt broken too badly... but if they remain resilient, Shaq can get healthy enough to get us 20m a game, and who knows maybe that bum J. O'neal will do something, the Celts are a contender.

[QUOTE="riariases"][QUOTE="LaytonsCat"]

Theres already been two Wind Waker sequels.

I don't see SMG on the 3DS it dosen't really make sense. 2D mario is going to be first

LaytonsCat

I know that, I just meant they should continue with te story line.

then you should have said it. I'm honestly not sure of there ever being a 3D mario 3DS game

Why dont you think Nintendo would make a 3DS mario installment?

good point. I am one of those that will not have played the original to its entirety. I actually like what they did with the Mario 64DS, because it was basically a port but had enough new stuff in there to keep it interesting for those of us who played the original....

Hard to say.... The PSX was a more single player oriented console--tons of games, cheaper games, greatest hits, awesome sports games... The N64 was a more advanced graphically, multiplayer oriented system. I first had PSX, if my memory serves me right, the PSX was out in the market a while before the N64. This had its obvious advantages, allowing it to have a nice foundation in the market. This was followed by massive third party support. This third party support continued to grow despite the launch of the N64 basically because the CD format was easier (and cheaper) to develop games upon. Although the graphics could be argued were less superior than the N64, developers really had a grip a couple of years into the life of the console on how to best take advantage of its properties. In about 1998 I traded my friend straight up for his 64. I gave him a couple games, he gave me waverace and mario64. This truly changed me in a gaming aspect forever. I was glued to the tv, couldnt believe how incredible the graphics were and how impressive the "3D" was in mario 64. Maybe I was biased, because to that point the best game for me was super mario world... Anyhow I never went back to the PSX. The first party support from Nintendo was just way too impressive and overwhelming. The gameplay was smooth and responsive, the games were adventerous, no loading times to hinder you from instantly playing... In conclusion, not only would I rank the 64>PSX, but the 64 is my all time favorite console. Maybe because it was launched at the perfect time in my life, I am not sure. IMO the 64 redefined to that point platforming games, and since there really hasnt been any huge advances in that department... I feel as though the only shortcoming of the 64 was that its lifespan was cut short by a booming economy (thanks president clinton!) and the early release of the next gen systems. If I could go back to that era, I would in a flash

What are your thoughts on the possibility that mario galaxy (ies) would be released on the 3DS at some point in the future? Now that the 3DS is beefed up in terms of graphics capabilities, does it seem like more of a possibility? Since it took 8 years to see Mario 64 on the handheld, maybe I am a bit too optimistic in thinking they could make this happen... I'd like to hear your thoughts

Im going to get one... and the reason is almost solely pilotwings. Pilotwings 64 is probably my all time favorite game. IMO pilotwings 3ds has some big shoes to fill, (not to mention it better have a rocking soundtrack like the 64 version!!) couple of thoughts/questions... can anyone remember back to the release of the ds.. did any retailers do some type of promotional bundle at release? or does anyone know any decent preorder deals? Also, what are the chances mario galaxy would ever be released on the 3ds... could its processor/graphics card even handle it?

I just started playing Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex and it sucks, i remember playing crash on ps1 when it was way better... what do you think??DujePro
ill never forget how awesome it was bringing home the ps1 that was bundled with the crash demo... all you could play was the very first level. i must have played it 200 times... there was also a formula 1 demo that was coupled with it... great guitar soundtrack too.
