@videogameninja: You are right the thing with casuals is they just buy whatever is advertised, but on the negative side they are not fans of any game so if call of duty loses its hype again they will just buy the next flavor of the month, now hardcore fans will always support a game that they like.
@basquecub: I think you misunderstood me, I said if I buy a game for $60 then I refuse to pay for microtransaction since I already paid for the game, if a game is free to play I dont mind supporting the developer since he didn't ask for any money upfront.
Games like warframe dont charge you any money upfront so I dont mind spending a few dollars to support the developers but games who charge me $60 will never see a penny from me.
@bentleyj10: I am interested in halo and gears of war but its complicated, I was going to get a xbox then microsoft came out with the xbox s, I was going to get it then microsoft spoke about the xbox x so I thought it would be better to wait, then sony came out with the ps4 pro so I got it and upgraded to a 4k tv, then the nintendo switch came out, when they released the mario game I could not ignore it anymore so I got it, now the xbox x is here but I have game to play on switch and ps4 pro and there is no must have exclusives on the xbox x to make me rush out and buy it.
@bentleyj10: I choose the ps4 over xbox because of the games, I even got a nintendo switch which i use to make fun of because i saw all the great games that nintendo was putting out, if microsoft had released the xbox x with some bad ass exclusives with incredible graphics i would run out and get it in a heartbeat, but right now there is no reason to get the xbox x, slightly better graphics on multipats is not a good enough reason for me to spend $500.
How do you know that a console is successful, when you have gamers like me who used to make fun of it and say its going to flop then turn around and buy one because there are just too many great games on the console to pass up.
Everybody wants to be a netflix what they fail to understand is netflix is successful because they were the first, these streaming services are followers who will never get the same success as netflix and some of them will flop, that's the big problem nobody wants to be creative they just want to follow you.
