Problem is, microsoft will not fix all 360s. My 2005 launch 360 that i have sent out once because of red ring, has been messing up recently. Ever since I got the halo reach disc from the microsoft disc test program, my 360s been really acting up. I usually can't keep it on more than 15 minutes, and then it just freezes up. Seems to get hotter than usual as well

Tried calling them up twice, and they won't acknoledge anything. All they keep saying is that my warrenty went out of date years ago. Now, i'm lucky to keep my 360 on long enough to connect to xbox live. Though, we have another 2009 model xbox arcade, that works like normal with the update. SO FAR that is.

After their pretty dissapoiting last few albums, save for a few decent songs, I hope this is korn in a new direction. Hopefully they stop trying to capture their original sound *failing miserbly*, and do something new like this. Just wonder when they'll release a new album. Korn III wasn't that long ago.... I'm gussing this will be a one off single.

If you could spare alittle bit more money, 150$ or 200$ if your lucky. Get a 20gig or 60gig ps3!! From where the ps2 had a pretty bad analog output, having a ps3 that outputs in upscaled 1080p, smoothed out, and true digital REALLY makes a big difference. I have an older ps2, but it hasn't been turned on in years. Let me tell you though, the first gen ps3s are LOUD and power HUNGRY!

[QUOTE="killertrumpet92"]

I put a good system in my car last April. I Ive got $100 Dual head unit (Walmart lol, its cheap and it works great), I spent about $120 for a pair of 12in Kenwoods, $150 for a 1500 watt Power Acoustics amp. and another $75 for a pre-made ported enclosure. So that ended up being about $475 including the wires and everything. This is a pretty decent system that hits good enough for my neighbors to wanna call the cops every other night :P

topgunmv

4 ohm subs and 2 ohm amp?

Whats wrong with that? 2 4 ohm subs, wired in parallel- making it 2 ohms. So pushing 2 ohms out of a 2ohm stable amp.

But yeah, 500$ can EASILY get you a decent stereo. Get a wiring kit and dash kit for your model car. Put in a decent sony or jvc head unit for 100$. I'd reccomend a small 200 watt rms 4 channel amp for 50-60$ for an ok boss or sony amp. And about 120$ in 4 decent speakers to go around your car. We're up to about 300$ so far, including wiring. Use that extra 200$ for maybe a small mono-block subwoofer amp, and a decent 10 or 12inch subwoofer. Not necessary, but deffinately will help.

Since its an hdtv, its hard to believe this assumption, but do you think that headphone out jack on the tv is only mono? Lots of older tvs did that. But do your headphones work fine with everything else? Checked your settings on the tv itself, so your balance isn't all the way to one side?

I own, probably a few hundred regular old dvds lying around in zip up cases. Not a single one has issues. Well, the first blu ray I bought was 300 back in 2006. Played just fine all the way until the end, and just kept freezing. Didn't really like the movie in the first place, so it didn't bother me. But since then, I've bought fast and furious, quantum of solace, and even the ps3 game uncharted 2. None of these worked 100%. Loaded them up in my computers blu-ray drive, and it seemed there was actually data missing from the discs. Not scratched or anything. Replaced all the discs, and the replacements worked perfect.

Never experienced it any with hd dvd, until now. Bought a new copy of *dog day afternoon* for 5$ on hd dvd and it just hangs at the title. Can't even go to the menu or title screen. Player plays everything else fine. No way to tell if any data is missing or anything.

Has anyone else experienced big issues with the hd formats? I've noticed, this issue seems to be WAY better on newer blu-rays. Since 2010, I haven't bought a bad new blu-ray disc. No big deal with blu-rays, but hd-dvds- your screwed if you get a bad one. Tried replacing dog day afternoon, and warner bros said they didn't even have left over discs TO replace. Still, it makes me want to do either digital downloads or just regular dvds to avoid this issue.

I'd pay a high premium, but theres a big issue. No umd, meaning no retail sales, and you have to use the psn store? Oh god. Downloading nearly a gig+ isn't the easiest thing in the world. On a normal 2 mbps connection, it takes about 7 hours to download a gig. Holy god. And people thats on a limited internet access plan, screwed.

Could sony actually sell games, each coming on their own huge memory stick? Then again, i guess nintendo does it. A 2gig sd card stick is 10$ in stores. Every game to come on one?

I'm not paying over 350$ for something, thats going to take me over 4+ hours to download 1 high sized game.

Damn. Two essays in one thread.2Chalupas

Yea, but I kindof had to get it out there. I mean, its deffinatly a system wars thread, and I basically bashed sony to death. Kindof wanted to get everyone elses reaction too. Seems to be what I thought it'd end up being, everyones just dealing with it, and not saying a word. Just 500$ for a game system, I shouldn't have to deal with it when I don't with ANYTHING else.

Sorry TC, I know for a FACT that you are wrong. You see, the first argument consolites use in EVERY pc vs console thread is all about how consoles never need updates, and you need to update your pc every 10 seconds. Yu can't seriously be telling us that they were lying, can you? Kinthalis

What? I never said that. This wasn't a pc vs console debate. This is more like a, ps3/psp vs everything debate. And yeah, on average, there is at least 2 updates per month on the ps3. How can I be lying? Use fricken google! Search up how many of these things come out, and even posters on this THREAD are mentioning how long it takes.

And on the point of having to download everything again. It varys game to game, but if theres an update to a psn game, you essentially download the entire game again. Street fighter 2 remix, super stardust hd, along with many others required me to download the most updated version of the game, which isn't just an update, but the the whole game file again. Or else I'd get signed out, and limited to single player only gameplay. Now THANKFULLY most psn games don't get updated often. But can it not be like live or steam, and just download the update?

So how in the world do you know for a fact I'm wrong? Needing to update the pc every 10 seconds my butt. Within the past year, I've updated the ps3 more than triple the times I've updated my gaming rigs updates, and their not even firmware updates. Same holds true for the ds, iphone, 360, and the wii. Its like, in the old pc days, you just had big patches that always had everything. Exactly how the ps3 firmware works now. But now on steam and most other pc games, it only automatically downloads what you don't already have. Essentially, sony is using outdated materials to deliver their updates. Making us wait a bit longer. AND I want to know, how in the world can you wait 2 minutes, and have this update ready to go like some of the other posters have mentioned? 2 minutes for 150+megs? My god, how much for internet? *and yes, sorry for the walls of text. just this firmware crap aggravates the crap outta me. how can I NOT complain? its why we hackers HACK consoles like this in the first place. you install one bit of custom firmware, and your set. maybe in a 4 or 5 months a new update. Just i've been easy with my 20gig ps3, since ps2 games play better on nothing else*
