[QUOTE="hbk7137"][QUOTE="jalexbrown"]Some games - such as Starcraft 2 - seem to have almost offensively low position on that list. Seriously - how did Transformers: War for Cybertron beat Starcraft 2?jalexbrownOne of the many reasons i no longer subscribe to this magazine. Or shop at Gamestop, to be honest I don't shop at Gamestop much anymore, because they're not usually the cheapest route. If I want a game, I can almost always get a used copy from Amazon Marketplace, Glyde, or some other site for less than I would pay at Gamestop. I only brought up Gamestop because they always try to get you to sign up for a discount card, which comes with a free 1 year subscription to Game Informer. But IMO, the magazine sucks, and so does the store.
I can only hope you're jokinglol@Black Ops not being #1...

Well, I guess it's a good thing that Halo Reach has things like tight gameplay, superb sound design, top notch multiplayer amongst other features, to help elevate the game past its passable visuals. A shame Resistance 2 didn't do as well. Are people forgetting this?

Resistance 2 was still a good game though. Just, a far cry from the original.
Just like Halo Reach is still a great game despite this technical analysis that, at the end of the day amounts to very little. It's easy to pick things out to analyze in a vacuum. But when the rubber meets the road, Halo Reach, like Resistance 2, is more than a performance analysis.
The Lens of Truth articles are nice little academic exercises, but really say very little about how fun the games are.
But hey, if people want to wax technical about these things without any regard to what matters to gamers most, then so be it.
You make a good point, and i agree with you. But this is system wars. PS3 fans have had the "inferior multiplat" thing rubbed in their face because the PS3 version of certain games have less grass or some other nonsense. You're just witnessing a response to that.Stranger still that the 2008 game looks better....weird to compare a 2008 game to a 2010 game.

i agree with this completely. Fable 3 felt like an attempt to reign in some of Fable 2's ideas and appeal to a more casual crowd.IMO Fable 2 > Fable TLC > Fable 3 ... I would love a Fable game with the setting/combat/spells in Fable I with Fable II's game size, interactions, dog and Fable III type story.
