Don't know if this is old or not, didn't see anything about it. I was on play-asia earlier and I noticed they had the psp av cable on their website. I figured this would be the design of it, similar to the av cable for my bro's video camera. Anyways, after seeing the cable, I'm assuming that the original psp will be able to do all the stuff the psp slim can once they release fw 3.60 for the psp. The only difference I'm seeing between the two systems at this time, is the size and weight, as well as the 64mb memory in the slim.

It depends on what downgrade he did, what psp motherboard you have etc. I know there's some custom firmwares that can be downgraded back to sony firmware 1.5, and upgraded to sonys newest official firmware (as of this time 3.51). Since we can't really discuss this stuff here on gamespot, your best bet would be to use google to find the info you need. Or you could grab your friend by the back of his neck, and force his head into a oven, until he agrees to fix it for you, or replace it for you.
Also formatting your memory card will not help. That might get rid of all the homebrew and roms he put on it, but the firmware, which is what is causing your problem, is stored on the psp motherboard. There's no way to delete that. So you'll have to do what I said before to fix this problem.
Manhunt 2 Uncensored, Namco X Capcom (with English text and voices), Super Robot Taisen MX Portable (with English text and voices), Ninja Gaiden, Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter (PLEASE GIVE ME THIS GAME!!!!), MVC2 (with online play, someone has to get it right finally), some of the SNK fighting games (KOF, LB, SS), and a game I've been wanting to play again since I played the hell out of the first two as a child, CARMAGEDDON!!!!
Just thought of another one, God Hand!
