it works, i do it all the time, and it doesn't mess up anything

just plug it with the usb cable, you might have to find a .dll file to make it work though.

ask your friend to send you that file or do some google research. you allways have to run this file before connecting the control pad everytime you start windows though

no need for a dll file, XP see's it as a controller and works fine, not sure about vista i don't use it., most PC controllers are set up the same way as PS controllers so XP is able to detect and setup the same way.

I wouldn't buy it for PS3 if I were you. The president of Valve HATES the PS3. he gaveporting of the orange box to some mediocre EA devs(they all pretty much suck). this game will have many issues when it releases on the PS3.mazdero

The devs for EA doing the port are not lame or mediocre, they are part of criterion ie the guys who do the burnout series and most of the guys doing the orange box port worked on Black another Criterion game which wasn't a bad FPS so I wouldn't go saying they are crap.

Well... I just bought the PS3 last night at my local Circuit City and turns out I can't play any PS2 games! So I was wondering if I could return it later today and be able to get my money back. Well you will have to pay more for it the 60GB is more expensive and that's if they have any left as the 60gb is only as stocks last, the 40GB is the latest model and Sony no longer support BC, failing that the 80GB has BC but it's software based so not all PS2 games will work and like the 60GB it costs more.

Yeah. That sucks. The only real way to play those songs is to go over to a friend's house who has the game and bring your guitar with you or vice versa.

You can also just enter the cheat to unlock all songs. That's what I did, since I don't know anyone else with the PS3 version.
