Agreed. It would help to know about his tastes. Which other games he/she had/enjoyed? what about Far Cry 2 isnt it good? my friend keeps talking about how its realastic and so on That is why I ask about tastes. If he likes FPS, then ME+COD+FC should cover the basics. If he likes adventure, then PoP+R&C are ok.
If he likes varied genres and quality games, then Prince Of Persia + CoD: World At War + Valkyria Chronicles are the best choice. Not that the other games are bad, but these are better.
I wouldn't trust imdb as a source of reliable release dates. I have seen them making those mistakes before.
That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if the game DO get released in 2010. Even when I would like it in 2009, we are almost there and still haven't seen not even a screenshot. For such a high profile title, that is unussual... But, on the other hand, I don't mind 2010 if the result is as epic as we are used to expect of those games. I choose an epic game in 2010 over a less-than-stellar game in 2009.
From what I read, it may never "come out". It will be like google applications: in beta stage until they decided they have done enough about it, then they will drop the "beta" in the name.
And it is not worth any of the hype... It is another second life using the sixaxis to control an avatar. It sure works for lobbying, but I doubt that is the reason someone bought a PS3 for.

Well unfortunately Sony's Operating System is not on a hard-drive like a normal computer. Instead they put it on a firmware chip. So the only way to update is to erase everything and rewrite it as new. That's why the update is 124MB...

Thank God computers aren't like that....especially with Microsoft and their weekly updates.....it would make life a ****ing nightmare. :P
But it is on the harddrive. That is why a 40 GB PS3 have about 36 GBs available when new... Besides, they could not do much changes if it were just firmware.
It would be nice if they change the update system to work on increments. Not easy to do... but definitely nice.
