[QUOTE="highvolts12"] [QUOTE="Regginator14520"]Get the Elite because there is a greater amount of games on the 360, and the ratio of great games on the 360 is pretty good compared to the PS3. The Elite looks down at PS3 because the Elite has everything the PS3 has, but cost less and more games. Most of the games coming out for the PS3 is coming out for the 360 anyways. XBox Live is also a more superior online service.ch2423
The elite is only cheaper if your behind in technology. Here's the breakdown for me and keep in mind I have a 46" Sharp aquos 1080p tv.
Elite 479 Ps3 600
wireless internet $100 wireless internet includedHd dvd movie ad on $200 blu ray player included
50 bucks for xbox live and a host for the server free online play with dedicated servers and zero lag or host adv.
Hdmi 1.2 and no options for true hd sound or uncompressed Hdmi 1.3 with uncompressed and Hd sound
total $839 600
So don't go talking about the price. The ps3 is a much better machine but its all about the games right now so decide what you games you like. If you don't have an HDTV might as well get a 360 cuz the system isn't made for 1080p, so you can't tell a difference between its 720p and 1080p. But I have both to get the exclusives so its whatever. Make your own decision.
Not so fast. The wireless internet doesn't come into play because until the speeds and reliability of wireless are improved, wired is the only way to go for online play. Also, the HD DVD drive does not play games, so unless you really want HD movies, that is also not needed. The $50 Live subscription is a valid point but is then offset if you want to up the 60gb PS3 hard drive to the Elite's 120gb plus the added cost of HD cables since the PS3 only comes with composite. So it's still $479 to $600.
Did you read anything I said? Never was I talking about you who seem to not have a 1080p T.V. or a nice wireless router. Maybe my degree in Pharmacy and starting pay is why the ps3 is a better deal? My wireless N router ( 108mb/sec signal which is just as fast as what you have in your wall) is just as fast as plugging it in to the wall. The wireless receiver in the ps3 picks mine up at 54 mb/sec which if you know anything about online games is extremely efficient and will have zero lag (did you even read about the dedicated servers where there is no lag in online games compared to the 360's weak host servers and terrible host advantages). The Blu ray player is definitely a reason because the games will get bigger and soon most games will only fit on bigger media types. None of your points were valid as the same HDMI cable that came with the elite is for purchase on deep discount for $10. My T.V. does 1080p over component which those cables cost me 24.99. I'm comparing what you get out of the ps3 that would cost you extra for an xbox 360. My whole post proved that for 120 dollars more you get $300 plus dollars worth of xbox 360 accessories. If you can't afford to enjoy the features of the ps3 then make your argument but other than that you made not a single valid point. You just made everything up.
