Halo 3 cometh now.

It's been awhile since I have mentioned my favorite game off all time.  Come to think of it have I ever mentioned Halo in my blog(no)?  SO lets get down to some of the new videos circulating around the internet of halo 3.  The first video I'm going to write about is the excellent "Quisnam Protero Damno" video.  If you've been clamoring for some new Halo 3 details I highly recommend you to check this video out.  The video starts off with some awesome mulitplayer footage with the bungie crew giving details about it in the backround.  The assault rifle looks awesome(bound to be my favorite weapon), it really seems like they took the time to make the weapons balance each other out.  They did a good job in that aspect.  Also the new attention to offense and defense maps is really smart.  I cannot wait to play on High Ground (the level they presented in the video).   However I disagree with one of the designers, mellee attacks and grenades were a vital part in halo 2 and dual wielding really didn't hamper that all too much.  As of right now the bubble shield sounds like a good idea, but I would really need to play the game to experience it and decide.  However the trip mine feature is awesome and I cannot wait to disappoint certain vehicle whoring players with a swift trip mine to the chest.  The new replay feature is also a good idea.  All in all Halo 3 is shaping up to be everything I expected it to be and more I cannot wait until it is released.

*And in a popular side note it seems a video of a new and updated Zanzibar level from Halo 3 has been leaked.  Watching the video really made me want to pick up Crackdown just for the beta access,.

Drought!

Time seems to be going slower and slower as I wait for april 29 to pick up the elite.  Of course this time does have some advantages, I finally got to complete Zelda: twilight princess (note: actually the first zelda game I have ever completed).  Twilight princess kept me busy throught the rest of march and some of early april but it seems that now my video game playing has hit a drought.

This past Thursday I rented Warioware: smooth moves.  Nothing against wario ware but to be honest it took me about two days to completely finish it, and thats really not good.  Sure, the multiplayer is fun for awhile but after you have played and completed the game it gets stale really fast.

With warioware out of my playing time I started to look for games that I hadn't gotten the chance to play in awhile.  So I decided to play alittle mario kart over wifi.  After playing for about an hour it really hit me how fun and addictive the game really is!  Nintendo wifi really is a great service. After playing mario kart I started to go back and play all my ds titles that have the feature.

XBOX360 Three red lights of joy

As i've mentioned in other posts my core xbox360 died.  After hooking it up to my new computer montior it started acting up and I finally got the three red lights signaling harware failure.  For awhile I was in quite the dilemma as to what I should do, but after debating it back and forth in my head for awhile I have decided to skip getting it fixed and buy the new black xbox360 coming out next month.  Looking at it now, I am actually kinda glad it broke because I really need the bigger hardrive and hdmi ports.  GOOD DEAL

In the mean while I'm really starting to finally play my wii alot on a regular basis.  I am really getting into Zelda:twilight princess.  I don't know what kept me from really getting into this game when I first got my wii, but it definetely has seemed to pass.  So I at least have a good game I can enjoy while waiting for the release of the black xbox360.

Theres no place like home!

The new home function on the playstation 3 really seems like a good idea to me.  This is what sony needs to do if they want to get back on track in dominating the home console market.  This really makes the playstation 3 seem more like a good buy.  I really like how it's not just communication via a lobby like on xbox live and you actually have to customize the way you look (almost like an mmo).  What am I saying?  This basically IS AN MMO the way you can communicate play games and do alot of other activites.  I also like how you can actually make a home and decorate it with the furniture you like.

Warhawk is also looking good, but I will have more on that later.

One epice piece of crap!

I'm not quite sure how, but in some way I was tricked into seeing this horrific film entitled epic movie.  It's going to be really hard to explain just how bad this movie was.  I would rather choke on a knife than to see it again.  The acting, plot, and comedy were abysmal. The only thing in the movie that put a thought in my head about maybe forcing a laugh out was the black albino character.  If you have any choice about what to go see at the movies do not pick epic movie.

Thoughtful Reviews

Excite Truck-7.0 Good
Bottom Line:
The bottom line with excite truck is that it definitely gets the job done, but with a minimum effort.  Sure when you first play the game the controls are a little bit wonky and hard to control, but as you play it and get into the game it becomes really fun.  Having said that there are alot of problems with the game. One is that the menus and the overall way the game presents itself could have been alot better.  Also the graphics could have been much better.  Don't get me wrong the graphics get the job done, but they were fair at best.  So overall excite truck is a good game with a few underling flaws.  If you're looking for a good arcade-like racing game to test out the driving mechanics on the wii go ahead and give it a shot, but if you're looking for and oustanding wii racing game that truly shows off what the wii will be capable of wait for another game.

Achievement Unlocked-(4U)

Things over the last I would say about two months have been very hectic in the gameplaying department.  For one thing over the holidays I was bombarded with games.  Where can I begin?  Lets see first off I actually got my wii and five games including wii sports.  So you can imagine thats kept me quite busy for some while.  Second off I go two games for my ds. Which I haven't been able to play enough in my opinion.  Check back later to see what those two games are and for the quick reviews of them.  On top of that I also got one xbox360 game.  So i've been quite busy for awhile.

I have also for some reason that I cannot explain gotten into playing gears of war multiplayer.  I guess that I wanted a good multiplayer game to play with my friends and gears was just sitting there on my desk.  I originally didn't get into the myltiplayer experience, but it is amazing how much of a difference it make when you are playing with people your skill level.  Which brings me to another thing.  I don't really get the ranking system in gears of war.  Correct me if i'm mistaken but isn't a ranking system suppose to put you into multiplayer games and find people who match up with you.  For me gears doesn't do that well.  So I have pretty much been living it up in non-ranked player matches with my friends.  Maybe i'll try ranked games another day................(by the way check out the gamer pic it's extra fresh to your liking)

So stay tuned for more updates.

Initial game impressions

Graw 2

My initial impressions of this game are quite mixed.  While I have no doubt in my mind that ubi-soft will come out strong with its second outing of the graw franchise it just seems to be just more of the same game. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the first game immensely and it definitely satisfied my craving for a good 360 game at the time, but it seems like graw 2 might be lost in the shuffle of games coming out in 2007.   Ok ok maybe if it is released to good reviews and ther're no other games that I am interested at the time it might be worth a look, but from what I have seen so far (which is not alot) it's not a buy in my book.

More posts coming. (I promise)

If anybody has noticed as of late the posts are coming at a rather tedious pace.  I will work my hardest to come up with some worthy ideas to post about, but as of right now I am pretty much out of them.  As you all know I try to make my posts meaningful and interesting for all.  SO just stay tuned. More profile updates and posts are coming.
