Personally I think the PS3 has better graphics than the 360. Because the PS3 produces lighter graphics, in the game call of duty I have noticed that it's worthless playing the game on 360 because you can't see anything, but I hope by this or next year (as many people predict) the PS3 should have better graphics than 360. I think the only game that can show that is Metal Gear Solid 4. Do you agree? And by the way why doesn't any game take advantage of the blue rays capacity? DOC105
If you read the revuew the colors on ps3 were washed out and not deep like 360

[QUOTE="XenoNinja"]Over shiny graphics don't always save a game.FireEmblem_Man

Bu..bu..but teh 1080P

Seriously, prettier pictures won't always be a grand AAA title.

I figured it out, Sony never lied to us, we just had to think outside the box. We take two lies 120fps and 4D gaming divide 120fps by 4D and you get ZOMG 30FPS GAMING!!!!

[QUOTE="SunLord592"][QUOTE="DaddyDC650"][QUOTE="SunLord592"]they actually dont advertise for the ps3 because its not a "HOT" buy. that is why. there is no point in advertising for something, that is not selling like hot cakes. i still find flyers advertising for the Wii and therer never in stock. the ps3 is never advertised because it does not have a big demand. the 360 however is advertised, like you said, stores like to give out one free game with the purchase of the 360. they would advertise that to promote there sale. if they dont advertise it then know one wil know about it, which would mean no sales. sure u can flip that on me and make it positive towards the ps3, but the ps3 is selling a very low margin comapared with the 360 and Wii.

thats my 2 cents, take it or leave it :)

Why would they not advertise an item that is not selling well? The point of advertising is to get folks to buy the product. Not to ignore the product and have it sell even worse. I'm guessing that they're giving away free games with Xbox 360's because they either have too many in stock or have noticed a drop in 360 purchases. Thanks for the post but your logic is flawed.

there is absolutly no point in wasting room on a flyer of somesort or anything, that a retailer knows wotn sell like crazy or be in stock always. advertisements are made to show ppl wats selling well or is a great buy. ever since ps3 has came out i have never seen a flyer with the picture of the ps3. its always just a little corner showing 2-5 games for it thats all. while the Wii and 360 sections take up a whole page each. advertisment is all about demand. if there is no demand the that product is not shown. because if ppl want it they know its proberly there, with no deals. regular price just sitting there to be bought. its like when the ps3came out in canada. futureshop put up a ad for the 360 promoting there sale on the day ps3 is released. with 4 brand new games free. and one being gears of war. that add alone sold out 360 all around my province.

well lets see, ford isn't selling like "hot cakes" compared to honda and toyota, i see ford advertisements all the time. how exactly does your "no high demand = no advertisement" theory work?

Hey wait a second... OBJECTION!!! There is a problem in your statement That's because at a Ford store, they only have one thing to advertise... FORDS!!! Where as with retail you are selling multiple iems.

I read it.. and i think he is a Sony Fanboy. Not only becaue it is in the ps3 forum, but because of the horrible bias. when i fire a gun, you feel recoil, which does make your hands vibrate, i'd take my rumble over laggy motion sensing anyday.

[QUOTE="-GeordiLaForge-"][QUOTE="Hammerofjustice"][QUOTE="killab2oo5"][QUOTE="KeyWii"]Can Hevaenly sword do aa+hdr simultaniously?
We have HDR rendering and 4xAA. And the odds of losing either are fairly low at this point...We also anistroptic filtering where it counts (the floor of the E3 demo being an obvious place to notice it...).

Noooo not this agaaaaaaain.Let me sum the responses up for you.":cry:Heavenly Sword simulates HDR,it doesnt really do true HDR!"

Just like the 360 can't do true 1080p

The 360 can in fact do 1080p natively. And it can also upscale all non 1080p games to 1080p, which the PS3 can't do...

1080p upscaled = trash.

If its trash, why can't teh god-killing cell inside mega supa powad ps3 upscal 720 games like Resistance and motorstorm. If 1080p is needed why doesn't the PS3 actually have great looking games in 1080p?

[QUOTE="shsonline"]Production values are higher on the 360 and pos3. This is a fact. Now how that translates to game fun factor is up to the gamer. But I generally prefer games with high production values.yoshi_64
GoWII had some high production values... tell me does high production values guarantee big hit games? Not true... some Next gen games I know got high end costs and flopped before. (even talking about some last gen "high production" games. ) Example even. Red Steel was one of Ubisoft's highest produced games but flopped. Konami makes a low production Elebits and it rocks. :?

The reason red steel floped was because ut was on the Wii, standard fps's just don't work with the wii's unaccurate controls.

PS3:
-Had Blu-Ray from the start
-Allows any HDD
-Lots of room for improvement via downloadable updates
-Got all the Hardware features they wanted

360:
-Go into next gen format war? No, yes, no yes, HD-DVD add-on comes out...
-No Upgradable HDD, hmm...whatever our fans love spending $$$.
-HDMI? Who cares? Ohh crap we might need it later for movies, crap what to do what to do, hey lets just release a new SKU with these new features, our fans will support us.

360 has been horribly planned from the beginning.

[QUOTE="The_Nemacyst"]

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is one of the biggest and longest games out there. It has well over 100+ hours of content. Yet it fits on a DVD9...

Heres the cool part, not only does it fit on a DVD9. It doesn't even take up half of the space. It's little more than 4 gigs.. 4.01 to be exact.

With so much voice acting, yet the game is only 4 gigs. Are games really going to be well over 9 gigs anytime soon? Well, they would if

1) They have over 2 hours of CGI movies

2) Uncompressed sound

But with the fact that compressing sound making load times shorter, and the fact that games nowadays games look so good that you don't need CGI movies, why do you need Blu-Ray? Theres only one answer.

For movies, not for games.

amcallister902
because R FOM took up 22gb, and was only a launch title

WRONG!!! Over 18 gb were padding. OWNAGE DENIED!!!

480>600 if: 480+200

If you are referring to the HD-DVD player, then that argument is moot. You do not need one.

You're buying the HDMI 360 for conventional reasons then, right? You're paying an extra $80 for a 120GB HDD? lol. Okay then, how's about this? $500 + $100 (basic PS3 + 120GB HDD on newegg) > $480, right? Except we're getting a Hi-def movie player for $120 extra... where you'd have to pay $200 for a format that doesn't hold as much data, AND only plays movies. I'd say we're getting the better deal, regardless of price.

ORLY? may be for the digital distribution which will phase out blu-ray and hd-dvd later on? Oh, tahts right you cant buy tv shows and rent movies off the playstation network LOLZ!!!
