I don't know, I just never really got into anime. I tried watching a few but found them boring.

I'm thinking of being a pharmacist, but I don't really know that much about it. I'm not reallybig in to science, but I can get really good at something if it is repetitive. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea of how much science it involves. i know chemistry is a big part, and I've never taken it. It just seems like a good career and it seemed interesting. Also, I don't really have great social skills, but I know that getting a business degree would be a good option. How much of business would involve strictly behind-the-scenes work (like no speaking in front of a group of people)?champion_tyler

Well, I'm debating whether or not I should pursue pharmacy or go to grad school and take more organic chemistry, and I have less than 1 year to decide. I've shadowed a phamacist before for about a few weeks and this is what I can tell you. The thing about pharmacy (this is the production part of pharmacy) is that it requires a lot of patience, something I do not quite have. I don't know if you've taken chem labs before, not the silly apparatus calibrating labs but the mixing of chemicals lab, but it takes a long time to get a tiny amount of product you want. You start with gallons of chemicals and usually you only get a beaker of your desired product. I've been taking various chem labs for about 3 1/2 years now, and I can tell it's not that fun. With pharmacy, this is all you do; you sit, you mix, you wait for **** to happen. In a way, there's some fun to it. You make new stuff.

If you're not a big fan of science, well, I don't know what to tell you. You need to take a lot of science classes. Chemistry is not an easy subject. It is interesting, and I like it, but it's far from easy. So I think before you decide, take a few chemistry classes first and see how you like those.

Primordial, I think you're talking about pharmacy tech?

Ok guys, from a point of view of a lady.. there's NOTHING back there that you need to explore. The front is where the business is, keep it there. There's no need for you to jam your fat tongue really far down our throat. You did not leave anything behind down there that you need to fish out with your tongue. It's not sexy if have to gasp for air.

I started at 17 and I'm turning 21 in Dec. and graduating next year. There's absolutely nothing wrong with starting at age 21. In fact, there's a a lot of "older" people in almost all my classes and people treat them the same, as far as I'm concern. Older people are cool, I'd rather talk to them than the young pretentious mothereffers. In my opinion, age is the last thing you should worry about. Good luck!

I still watch the Simpsons and Southpark regularly. Occasionally, I watch Futurama and Family guy. For some reason I don't like anime..

I'm having trouble understanding something. OK, during Anaphase I of Meiosis I, why is it that homologous chromosomes move away from each other? Why can't both chromosomes of one type move to one side?hydralisk86

Bobaban explained it already. To put this simply, you have one cell splitting into two. Each cell needs all the parts there in order to "survive". You have 23 pairs of chromosomes, each one is different. If you have both chromosomes moving to only one side the other cell wouldn't have that copy of chromosome.

It's like you have two cars, you need specific parts to make one working car. If you want to make two cars (two cells), you need two copies of the same parts (homologous chromosomes) and one copy goes to one car one goes to another. If two of the same parts go to one car, this will cause problems, the same goes if you have a car that doesn't have that specific part. This is more like mitosis though.

I don't know if I confused you more but that's probably the simplest way to explain Meiosis...
