[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"]

[QUOTE="King-Saddam"] Logically there is no such thing as 101% or anything above 100%. Don't do drugs stay in school.King-Saddam

Wow, okay, for starters, I'm at college at the University of Chicago and have never smoked or done drugs in my life, so don't give me that.

Secondly, you don't know what you're talking about. For example, if I say I produced 200% of the output in 2000 that I did in 1999, that would be perfectly valid >_>. Or, I could say GDP rose by 150% (which wouldn't happen, but it's an example).

So, yeah, read up on math before posting-that's the only advice I can give you. >_>

I go to the University of Toronto. 200% doesn't exist it's 2 times, something. Logically nothing above 100% (in percentile measurements) exists. The definition of percentage is a way of representing a number over the fraction of 100. For example if the GDP increased by 150% it would be 1.5 times since you reduce ALWAYS when showing something as a fraction. Therefore 150/100 = 1.5/1= 1.5.

hahaha. WTF?

[QUOTE="jaydough"] No. That's like cutting off the highway so no one can get to the store to rob it... Which is pretty much what you just said... jaydough

but the highway brags about getting to easy to rob stores.

Point to a sign on the highway that says this.

not "brags" but, thats what its for.

[QUOTE="jaydough"] I think you're misinterpreting this analogy.
The law (The law) is standing aside while the snake (The RIAA) is eating a person, while saying that they broke the snake's bastardization of the law.
jaydough

what i get out of it is, they are trying to limit illegal actions, but cutting off the highway, to the illegal actions. Know what im sayin?

[QUOTE="jaydough"] Yes, but what thepiratebay is doing is NOT illegal, due to them obeying every aspect of Swedish copyright law. jaydough

what the law is trying to do is cut the head off the snake. Which is fine with me.

[QUOTE="jaydough"] Exactly. It's COPYright law, not theftright law.
Not theft, piracy.
jaydough

it is an ugly cousin of theft though. and still very illegal.

[QUOTE="jaydough"] But the original person DOES buy it first. If you copy it, you're an ass, not a thief. jaydough

Why do you think they're called COPYrights.?

so people dont make illegal copies. duh.

[QUOTE="-_Rain_-"]

[QUOTE="jaydough"] No it doesn't. It's illegal in most areas, but it doesn't belong to them. jaydough

Yes it does. It is not your property until YOU pay the assigned price for it. Copy it, and it belongs to the creator, not you. Once again: If I copy a novel by James Patterson, the novel belongs to James Patterson. Not me. I have no right to give it away, sell it, or even have it for that matter as it IS NOT MY PROPERTY.

Now I'm going to go eat.
