OkIwork at best buy so i will try to answer your question,
First, Did you preorder it at the store or online?
If you did it in store then yes on midnight you can get you game. If online and you picked store pick up then again yes you can get it. If you ordered online and didnt pick in store pick up then no it will be sent to you through mail(whether that day or the standard week delivery i don't know).
Also all stores have to hold the same number ofgamesas preorders, so if you did get a preordered to be picked up in store or purchased in store a preorder you will get your copy. But most likely their will be a line for halo 3 at midnight stores so you will have to wait in line to get the game like everyone else, whether or not you have a preorder. But you will get your copy. If the store sells out of the game that is for everyone, they will not sell the preordered batch because they will get in big trouble for doing so and trust me they would not want to have 20-30 people that preordered a game and the store gave their copy away.
any more ideas? i know about the gears of war, from what i heard from customers was that all the gamestops in south florida got delayed shippments but best buy got them and we got all their cstomers coming to us to get gears that day. Free ms point but what would you do to get them.
The chief thing we thought of but no one makes them to buy, ive looked, i would buy 2 full suits and do thigns from red vs blue but most people hand make them and we lack skill to make them and/or time. A gladiator thing wouldn't work, best buy can't take the risk of someone getting hurt and sueing. The stores for midnight openings have been set no store can do midnight if not assigned, and i was asking 2 months before if we could do it but they said the company will decide. Giving away halo3 for nothing, we can't do, customers would have to do something to get a free halo, same goes with the 1600 points. Ideas are ok, but need more.
Giving away something helps but if its product from the store we woulddo 2to 10 units but customers would have to do something to "earn" it. Maybe like being the first 10 people in line and get the guide free or judging the biggest fan in line, etc.
