Two Questions.

  1. Would you get: One New 7950 GX2 or go Sli with 7800 GTX 512s?
  2. Get more memory with: 4x512? or 2x1GBs?

ibuypower.com

I checked them also, it was like i think $2,000 to $2,200 back in early november. I looked at every company that had a 7800 gtx 512 right up till last week of november before i went Alienware. I looked at everyone even voodoo but they are the true rip-off kings. I had a list that went, either getting Alienware, dell, sony, building it myself, or ibp.

Yes I know I could get a good pc for a lot less NOW but i bought this in late November, when this card was 749.99 and available. So I spent the extra 600 and got a alienware that i love. The Card I use is now discontinued and very very rare. Its like the 3 best nvidia card still.

But one thing you all should know, I only had to fork over $1400 casue i had a deal with my parents. They said that they would pay half the cost if i wanted a PC, they just didnt realize it was gona be an alienware. My dad said later after i got it "i shouldnt have said i would pay half.".

  1. Alienware PC Total price: $2800
  2. What i had to pay $1400
  3. Knowing that parents shouldnt make $$$ deals with their kids. PRICELESS.

As for getting an Intel over AMD, i just like Intel. Amd is good for gaming but i didnt hear much on what else it does other than gaming when i was choosing which to get. I am using this PC for more than just gaming and i went with what i knew.

Im no computer expert, but ive got a pretty good pc.(Excuse bad grammar)

Its a custom rig with two 3 ghz processors or something, 4 GeForce 7900 GX2 cards(yeah dont even ask me how, my dad got this to work my experience with building computers goes as far as toy lego computers, he said SLI or something) Some very noisy cooling system. A physics card or something, 4 GB's of RAM and 2 terabytes of storing space counting the extern harddisks.

Its quite the decent PC, It was quite expensive so i hope it will last a while.

Fantact

It is possible he does have this, they do sell a 4 slot pci express motherboard.go here and see

No I mean compared to all PC makers, I spent the better part of a last year researching to get a new PC. Looking at every PC builder, brand named and non-ones, and Alienware was the cheapest and had the stuff i wanted. It had 2 major things also which others didn’t a 7800 gtx 512 in stock and a sweet looking chassis, yes if i had bought each piece separate I would have saved like 200 bucks, but I don’t have the time or patients to build a PC.

My Futurmarks scores

3DMark06 Score: 4606

3DMark05 Score: 7802

When Alienware tested of my system

3DMark05 Score: 7,853
