The PS3 is stuck in the 12-10k range  everyweek, at this rate it still wont break a million units for another 3 months. During those three months the Wii would have sold over a million more. The PS3 is approaching the levels of a dead system over there.

The DS has sold about 17 million units in Japan alone.  Its well on its way to becoming the best selling system in Japanese history.  Nintendo has an iron grip on Japan.

First of all the ds is NOWHERE near becoming the best selling japanese console. The PS2 has sold more than 120 million unit to date

Second: I don't know if you remember how the PS2 started out but it sold next to nothing when it first started out. But when it had some time to improve IT DOMINATED outright. And as a matter of fact the in the six months since its release the PS3 has sold more than the PS2 did in its first six months. So with this explained it is obvious that the pattern of the PS2 shall only be repeated with the PS3.

There isn't one PC that can perform as good as the 360.  If you believe there is post the model or all the parts along with the cost.  If it is more than $400 you phail.

To compare apples to apples you need to have a $400 PC to compare against the 360.

Yes the Keyboard and mouse make some games play a lot better (like RTS) and you may very well want to pay $2000 for a high-end PC to game on...that's great.  But don't act like it's so much better than the 360 because when you consider price, I can get 1 PS3, 1 360, 1 wii and still have $1250 left to buy games and peripherals.

Duh, pcs are done when comes to gaming. For example the ps3 has a cpu and a gpu that outperform the best intel has to offer respectively. We're talking about some extremely expensive chips, too.

yeah but the ps2 was about half of what the ps3 cost. 

The original xbox and the gamecube cost about half as much as their next gen counterparts. Its like a mathematical equation. You can increase all the numbers by the same amount but the eqution remains the same. What happened last gen WILL happen this gen. In short Playstation will dominate.

Every time i see these numbers it shocks me how bad the PS3 is doing. And theyre gonna need a lot more then Final Fantasy to save them. Final Fantasy is not an overnight cure.Carmilla31

first I will show you the facts why PS3 wont fail

1) Way too early to tell, this gen just started and we have another 5-6 years left.

2) First-Party. Sony has fantastic FP games and since 3rd Party exclusives are going to be rare its all up to first-party to show why their console is superior.

3) The Price will go down, Sony are not going to keep the PS3 $600/£425 forever as you fanboys seem to think.

4) PS1 and PS2 are the most sucessful consoles in gaming history, both selling over 100 million.

5) Playtation is a powerful brand.

6) Free online play and Free Playstation Home use.

7)Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy 13 and Metal Gear Solid 4. In other words the greatest racer, the greatest RPG and the greatest action/stealth game only available on 1 console. The PS3.

now since you people easily label PS3 as a failure, please show me facts why it will be a failure by the end of this gen :|

Exactly, This is fact not just why the PS3 won't fail, this is why it will dominate just as it's predessecors have in the past. Anyone who is considering an Xbox or Wii heed these facts and reconsider before you buy the wrong console and end up being the minority.
