Actually, purely on an exclusives front, I think the Wii U did best for all the consoles. Splatoon, Yoshi, Xenoblade, Super Mario Maker, and Kirby were pretty good games all said and done.
And with Uncharted 4 coming out in a dew months, don't care what it scores it will make the console worth owing for the entire year. Everything else to me is gravy. Sweet delicious gravy. MmmMmMm
While I'm excited about Uncharted 4 as well, I must say I'd be quite sad if my GOTY for next year turns out to be a 10h movie :/
yea, i get there is an increase. But the barrier of entry to get DX12 is very small, in fact, they try to make everyone get it for free. Pascal is likely going to cost over 800 in it's initial release. It will likely require huge upgrades in not just GPU but mother boards and CPU's.
when you say Pascal, you’re talking about a GPU with 16GB of memory and 1TB/s bandwidth, a monster like this may cost more than 800$, even for a PC enthusiast like me it’s a high price and hardly affordable but there’s a thing you need to understand and it’s that a brand new GPU like Psacal/Polaris could lower the prices for current GPU’s like GTX 970 and increase the competition in the market which eventually would improve overall gaming experience.
Recon I can still get a decent price for my 980ti so it cuts the cost down a bit, tho I am planning to get new cpu+mobo+rams in the process too. Back in the uni days I would have to cut corners but luckily those years are paying off in the end and don't have to sweat too much about it
there’s no doubt PC Gaming is cheap if you know how and when to upgrade your rig, 980Ti is a great GPU, upfront it’s an overkill unless you're a 2K gamer, a single GTX 970 easily shit on PS4 all the way
I do have 144hz 1440p monitor so it's not an overkill atm

I briefly had to use a Windows PC for the first time in a very long time. The company I was working for got me some 3+ grand machine with pretty much the latest everything. Could not believe the amount of garbage that makes up the current PC library of games. It's like a parody of itself. Am endless number of crappy RTS, FPS, and something Sim games.
With the MMORPG market a complete joke compared to the late 1990s/early 2000s there isn't anything that would I would waste my time with playing on a PC. Maybe if there were RPGs of the same quality as the Ultimas from back in the 1980s instead of the absolute garbage developers like Bethesda crap out.
