Commodore 64, then pc + nes. I remember when I got to play Doom for the first time, mind was blown. Played civilization with my dad, we both still play civ 5...
Howmakewood's forum posts
ps4 seems to hold more titles I'm interested in, still going to pick up xbone next year for some of those goodies
A smarter exclusive deal would have been COD than TR. TR is mostly associated with PS, and COD with COD.
Year delay on cod = 2 cod's launching at the same time -> mind blown
I thought the ps4 version was terrible but this is even worse, stillwhy would any1 buy bethesda games on consoles to begin with?
@howmakewood: Its not magic it's good programing, high budget, lots of time and lots of talent. It's limitations are in the fact it's 1080p, 30fps and not open world. It doesn't change the fact the game looks superior to anything else on consoles.
It annoys me that people think all devs are equal and every game is maxing out consoles. Take something like AC syndicate and compare it to Witcher 3. Compare just the console versions and look how much better TW3 looks then AC syndicate. Or why is Infamous SS still the best looking open world game on the console? There's no trick the game just looks better. By your standards you are saying all games on consoles would look the same and we know that not to be true.
I wasn't saying UC4 doesnt look great for a console game or that there's other console games putting it to shame because there aren't. It was about @Heirren saying how UC bests the best PC games, which is bullshit. UC4 may have better facial animations than any game on pc sure, does it top them in every aspect? no it does not. You can obviously allocate more resources to nearby objects when the overall draw distance is few meters.
Still waiting on an inventory mod, **** me its bad.
This is the one part that annoys me the most in many multiplats, being forced to use controller ui when you play with kb+mouse.
Please tell me they're made in America.
Edit: nevermind forgot the part where no hands touch the product. Not as many jobs.
That's why I would've believed they were made in America. The reason companies don't manufacture here is the cost of the labor force. Corporations will pay one person (CEO) 50+ million dollars a year but wont pay a work force 12 bucks an hour to assemble things. Robots? Sure we can do it in the US then.
No big surprise when for every pair of american hands you can hire 15 pairs of chinese hands(who will work longer hours as well)
@AM-Gamer:
I can see where people might pull out a texture here and there and whine and complain, in regards to Uncharted 4. Still, as a whole, Uncharted 4 is tops. It does so much right, has a very consistent image, and is doing things with animation that is leagues above anything on PC. PC gamer fanboys see the price of their machine and cry blasphemy when a game running on hardware that costs under 400 manages to best their high end games. It is called T-I-M-E. The time production artists, sculptors, and animators spend working out kinks to produce a pleasing image is far more important than the hardware itself.
If only that were true, the sad fact is in order to make some part look great you have to cut corners somewhere else. UC 4 will no doubt look great, especially the characters, but claiming naughty dog has pulled some kind of a rabbit out of the hat and went past hardware limits just sounds stupid.
