It's always met with disdain by the vocal minority of course. Anything that gets a number 1 spot like this is just bound to attract angry bigots with no backbone, attempting to put down anyone who finds entertainment out of it.

I think it's pretty funny whenever I see a post about a flash sale or whatever on PSN, there's always those people saying they're "terrible deals" but looking right now across the PSN store, XBL store, and Steam - PSN is clearly shown having lower prices on any multiplat that's on XBL, plus no tax. Steam is back and forth, some deals better (Mad Max, Witcher 3) some worse (Ori, CoD) but generally since Steam's layout and sales system change, a lot of their deals have been rather lackluster, and most great deals are on either indies or really old games. Point being - if you think this is a bad sale, you'll find it's worse almost everywhere else.
