[QUOTE="Draconis77"]HDMI is only needed if you have an HDTV that supports 1080pps2forever
but you can run 1080p on the vga cord also... and hdmi is really nothing, i have the premieum console too and i'm happy with it. although i have a 72 inch tv that supports 1080p , running with vga is good enough.

HDMI can send both video and audio.  VGA can only do video so you'll need separate cables for audio.

Ok. Here's Australian launch. http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2007/03/23/1174153291466.html?from=top5

lol, ps3 sells 20,000 at launch in australia as opposed to xbox 360s 30,000? no one in australia likes gaming

Yeah it's funny isn't it? Especially the paragraph where it says "Desperate producers unashamedly asked the crowd to fake excitement when the cameras were rolling, while a team from 2Day FM let out bogus cheers to convince their radio listeners that a launch extravaganza was underway."

[QUOTE="Nolakk"][QUOTE="aka_aj03"][QUOTE="Rob2223"]Cows are still in damage control from DMC? :roll:2largeadults
Please insert disc 23 for the cut scene, then insert back disc 21 for continuing playing the game.

error reading nr. 21 disc. Please insert disc 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9... 21

Just thinking of a scenario like that elevates my blood pressure.

That picture - cost of using a pc and photoshop. DMC to 360 - PRICELESS!

It is pretty funny but you're right. They're still in damage control because their feelings were hurt so much. After the announcement by Capcom and bagging they got from the lemmings, they needed to think hard and come back with something like this. Bottom line, damage control.

[QUOTE="cobrax25"][QUOTE="hubertd"][QUOTE="cobrax25"] Nope, the reason they all work with each other is because Parts have been standardized for many years now. Have you ever wondered how virtually all motherboards, fit all cases, work with same RAM, Video cards, and so on...? its because they have been standardized. their are all designed to work with those standards in Mind.

You're now forgetting about the software. CC said that if there's only one OS, there would be no software/hardware compatibility issues. This includes both hardware/software. Of course, everyone will only have to developer their products (hardware/SOFTWARE) according to this one OS's specs. Same thing with different distros of Linux regardless of whoever distributed it. That's why they still call it Linux.

[QUOTE="cobrax25"] Linux is not an OS, its a Kernal.....

No disrespect cobrax as I'm not here to flame anybody. It's actually Kernel and not Kernal.

No, because both Software and Hardware is Standardized, many things work on Linux, Macs, and Windows all at once. Its called Linux, but these Distributions are heavily modified, they use completely different Code, then the originals. Just like Windows still Uses DOS, just an upgraded version.

So you're saying that they all work on different distributions of Linux not because they're all Linux but because of the standard? Isn't it the case that they follow the same standard because they're all Linux? IMO, CC is right that if there's only one OS, everything will only have to be developed for that one OS and there'll be no compatibility issues. One OS, one standard. However I don't want things to go that way. I rest my case.
