For their handheld, no doubt it's Pokemon. But for their console it's far & away Mario.

Overall, Mario is the face of Nintendo. It's, IMO, their bread & butter. From Mario 2D Platformers to 3D platformers to Mario Party to Smash Bros. to their sporty titles with Mario Kart/Olympics/Tennis/Golf. The retro Mario games on their digital store.

Zelda is huge. Other franchises are huge. But a Nintendo Home Console with no Mario release within 2 years would suffer a great deal.

@Xplode_games: I would not rely on Amazon.Com notification. 9 times out of 10 it doesn't send you a notification that they are back in stock.

I will def. keep an eye out for you on stock.

One of the benefits of this console is it's not region locked. So if you are really desperate for the console & not necessarily wanting it on release date but a few days after you can always order it from another region. Amazon France, for example, still looks to have preorders available.

I think keeping an eye out at Amazon & Best Buy for the next few weeks as they may release some cancelled Preorders back on the market may come up. That & going into a Gamestop or Best Buy & asking if they have any Preorders for their store still available for pickup.

Another route you could go is working with a user on here or another forum you may visit that perhaps have a couple of Switch Preordered as a precautionary to see if they would be willing to give you one of their Preorder or maybe someone that preordered it & now is on the fence & probably going to cancel their preorder & you just pay them directly instead of having them cancel it.

Didn't Sony drop Linux support though? Wouldn't the Linux argument be invalid at this point about Sony being more open?

So hyped. Originally bought my Wii U in anticipating for this game back in 2013. Then it just kept getting delayed all to hell. Now have the Switch preorderd with the LoZ: BotW Special Edition & Pro Controller. March 3rd can't get here soon enough.

@FastRobby: Unlikely, I agree. I'm just spit ballin' here with my thoughts on it. If Steam is looking to get into the home console market legitimately, something they tried with the Steam Machine but didn't necessarily get the sales, teaming with one of the big console gaming machines to get their product across may be a decent move on their part. They'd own the PC gaming market place & be extremely competitive on the home console front as well.

I'm wondering if Microsoft is working on a partnership with Steam. Would love if the Scorpio was a console that keeps your Xbox Profile & Digital Purchases plus you'd now get the Steam library.

2017 is def. a strong year for the PS4 lineup. Super excited for this year in gaming with some Sony 1st parties & the Switch release. Microsoft needs to make some noise at this E3 especially with more deets on the Scorpio.

At another forum I use to frequent, we were discussing maybe the reason it seems so scarce on Microsofts side of things with game releases is maybe they've been holding off on release so Scorpio could have a stronger launch. One can only hope.

@hughjankles: Sounds like a very civil and moderated forum.

Hmmm something's off about you new comers, I just can't put my fingers though? Both of you made accounts on the same day and only one post.

@davillain- We are coming over from another gaming forum that, quite honestly, is toxic. Finally decided to look for a new place to talk gaming & post. & brought along one of my friends on over. So we both signed up last night. This seems like a well moderated forum & like the posters mainly engage in decent conversation rather than Cows coming in with one off "LOL, SAD." comments or constantly derailing any threads that has nothing to do with what is being discussed.
