oh and to the person about the controllers, did you try to press the button next to the memory card units, and then press the white button on your controller.

I am sorry to say but that is total crap, you shouldnt have to buy an intercooler, it should work fine as it is.
You shouldnt but why not spend an extra 20 dollars and not have to deal with any extra hassles. And even then systems without immediate heating or hardware problems will break a few years down the road. Most consoles will break at some point. They arent meant to last over like 8 years. Why not extend the life of your console? Im just speaking from experience and paying a few dollars for an intercooler is a lot better and proactive than whining on the boards and sending your xbox in.
I have a intercooler and im just now getting red lights, the only problem is just now has only been 2 months.
