Hmm, perhaps america, europe is a bit different, we the morally insane soccermom is a rare breed, and even things like hot coffee really isn't a big deal.
@zatetzu I think, however, that the major flaw of this article is that it's pretty obvious what makes a villain a villain. an article isn't really very consequential, informative, or interesting
@zatetzu I agree that the article could have had better picks, but now that I think about it, I think, except perhaps Blue Dragon, the author just tried to pick popular and active villains, to make the article more relatable.
@SesameSeeds I don't know. Sesameseeds. The first games templars were driven by motives like trauma or good intentions. they were realistic, and some even thought they were doing good, they had drawn an interesting contrast between our liberalism and that times heavy conservatism. But in the second game, they were mostly driven by greed, spite, or simply 'I must be more evil, muahahaha'. in the third game, it is once again greed. I think cesare had atleast some personality, but you didn't feel intimidated, you felt like you were hunting a kitten.
Dragon Age II suffers from terrible writing, poor dialogue, poor story, and simple combat. the villain is a minor detail. Oh, and I don't think those are really the most important points of a villain, I liked the article tho.
Gotta say, CoD really doesn't have no memorable OST, and if it does, it's only because they have very few tracks and you're bound to hear the same one over and over. there's some effort into it, but it's extremely generic.
@KTs2006 not to mention that it's plain wrong, older rpgs had a lot more depth and were MUCH more complex, and there were far more paths/less linearity
oh yeah, by the way, esgrouviado, don't you think they left that one out because the theme was black and white? i think the witcher is anything but black and white
i wonder, maybe not making it too complicated can be a plus for some, i know several people who wouldn't like to ponder about philosophy for hours before making their decision. I wouldnt mind tho
