Yeah, Sony is so amazing, and PS3 is the bestestersist console out there. It's probably better than the PC -- I mean, I read that the military dudes were using it instead of PCs, so it must be the best piece of hardware in the whole wide world! Right? Right?!

Nice. Though I have to say that Nintendo is a more consistent publisher than Take Two, with a considerably larger amount of releases.
Rockstar Games present Game of the gen. Game of 2010. A masterpiece. SNIPER4321
You don't need to post this picture in every thread you go to. The game isn't even that awesome. Far from a masterpiece, even farther from game of the generation.

What do you guys think the next generation consoles is gonna be? I'm speaking for the two companies that actually try to push what the hardware can do - IE Sony and Microsoft.

Stopped reading there, it's amazing that people seem to forget that other than this generation Nintendo has been pushing graphics. If you can't even see past one generation then I doubt the rest of your post is worth the wasted time :P
didn't say Wii wasn't pushing graphics, when you look only Nintendo's consoles and handhelds. The Wii is definently the nicest looking one.
but if your definently get upset about that comment. just that comment. Fine then.
Come back to me when a Metal Gear Solid 4, something even close to Crysis, or any other more then a handfull of games on the other consoles. y
ou can make the jab that "oh just dumb doom and gloom shooters" but the best i've seen of Nintendo are games that do not go for realism. which is great, nothing wrong with that. but that doesn't mean it couldn't be easily done or replicated on the other consoles or PC.
I'm not trashing the Wii at all, i'm merely stating that in the greater scheme of gaming, the Wii introduced a bit better graphics then it's predecessor and offered motion controls. Which i didn't mention motion controls because it's been pretty easily reproduced so far on the other consoles. That makes them a trailblazer in giving a new way of playing games, but they're still on-upped by the sheer processing power possible on the other systems.
That doesn't lend me to think 'push hardware' that just makes me think where they focused their attention on. Remember there is a youtube video somewhere on the web of a 2004 video of Sony showing off a very old prototype of what would later be called the Move, and the idea was to have it work with the Eyetoy at the time. Such tech has existed.
Again i specifically mentioned hardware. Not who is seeing is gonna be a trailblazer.
The intensity and precision with which motion controls were replicated on the Move aren't even comparable to the Wii's, with the Wii Motion Plus and Nunchuk. Not even the Kinect, which is a different type of motion controller, has the precision the Wii motion controls do.
Yer wrong, it's best on PC.[QUOTE="iAtrocious"]
Red Dead Redemption has the better story. ME 2's story wasn't terrible, but it lacked content: it should've been a spinoff, not a sequel.
In any case, Mass Effect 2 is better on the 360. I think RDR is equal on both, but I'm not sure.

Haven't played it on the PC, can't say :p.
What I really want is a DD Console that comes with a 1T HDD. Would spare me the hassle of buying games.

How have they pushed the hardware forward if a '06 PC still runs better graphics than a PS3 or 360. Sony still managed to change the storage device to a Blu-Ray, so it gets points for that, but other than approaching consoles to PCs, neither company did anything innovative for consoles. The Xbox 360 came with Kinect, that may end up having some nice titles after developers have grown used to it.
Wii was the one who did the most this generation, with full-blown motion controls and simple online play (albeit not social-friendly), other than an array of quality exclusives.
The next generation? I don't know. I think it's going to be Nintendo again, but it's early to place bets.

German Shepherds. Labradors are also interesting, though I've always been fond of just adopting a random mutt I sympathize with.
