I've started the game with Terra, and I've got to say the voice acting is terrible. It's not the voice, but the complete lack of emotion that makes him a character that just feels dead. It's the actor's complete boredom, he sounds like he doesn't want to be there, as if he's just reading the sheet to get it overwith. But otherwise, I agree, the game is great. Very pretty to look at, and other than Terra, the voice acting is excellent.GranpireI agree, and I wish there was a way to change it to the original Japanese voices with subtitles. The game is great though, the combat is the best in any Kingdom Hearts game and the Deep Space world was my favorite.

I don't recall the Mario Bro's series ever having a story. So really I don't view "No story" as a Con, simply because everyone who played the previous titles would've already known this before making their purchase. Not having it in the past is not a excuse for not having it now. Technology has advanced, developers can make more than in the NES era.[QUOTE="EndlessPunisher"][QUOTE="Rod90"] I played NSMBWii a lot with my neighbors, who had the game. When we got together, we played the game, and had fun with it, because we were playing multiplayer with 4 persons. I had a laugh with the game. But the game had bad graphics, bad sound effects, no story, it was short, etc. So, IMO, the gameplay was there, but everything else wasn't. I'm not saying that NSMBWii is a terrible game (I gave it a 7.0 in my review), but it's not a "GOOD" game either. What you say: if I game if fun, complaints are irrelevant? Why you say that? Just for the fact that a game has good gamplay, why should you do a blind eye with the game faults? Rod90
Technology has nothing to do with a good story. Final Fantasy 1 had a decent story and the game came out in the late 80's. Truth is I would be weirded out if Mario became like the Chosen One and fufill a prophecy or some weird stuff like that. Mario was never created with the intention of a huge story. You save the princess, platforming through levels until you fight Bowser. That's it dude, if you want a story play an rpg or something. I can't recall a platformer that had like a giant plot/story.
What I meant with that is the "fun factor" of a game does not justifies completly the lack of graphics. music, story, lenght, etc. To be considered a "good" game, it needs other factors too. A game may be fun to play, but if it looks horrible, sounds horrible, has no style, no story or sense of unity, its not a good game. And in the specific case of NSMBWii, I think it's sad that a game so rushed up or "incomplete" sells that much, specially when you compare it with other games that are incredible and sell poorly. If Nintendo realize that they can make games with not much effort, and the public responds well either way, then why they should spend money/time is making a game memorable, besides the fact that is fun to play it? Games are not 100% gameplay. Maybe I was wrong in using the word "fun" in my review. I should have use the word gameplay. NSMBWii has good gameplay, but nothing else. And thanks iBlooba for the respect towards my opinion.Rod90
Well I mean I just don't see where NSMBW is incomplete. It is short, that's my only complaint. But I don't think the graphics are horrible, they could do better but they aren't horrible. Mario's never had a big focus on story, and it's the style we know and love from past Mario games. Nintendo does make amazing games, maybe NSMBW isn't the greatest game out there but I think it deserves an 8 at least for what it is, a platformer.
[QUOTE="iBlooba"][QUOTE="Rod90"]You won't believe how sad I am now for hearing that. The proof that Nintendo can make mediocre games and people will still buy them...Rod90
What's mediocre about NSMBW? Can you give me a few reasons?
http://www.gamespot.com/wii/action/newsupermariobroswii/player_review.html?id=700019&tag=all-about%3Breview1Lol. First of all, fun is all that matters in a video game. That's what it's for, entertainment. They didn't change much to the formula, but most franchises don't. Just look at Call of Duty or Halo. And I bought NSMBW BECAUSE of nostalgia, I don't care if it has ANY new music. But I'll be quiet, I'm not going to shut down your opinion. Everyone has one, and that's okay.

I don't really like competitive FPS in general anymore. I like the Wii controls best for it, but Reflex shown me just how cheap people will be to get some kills. I played against an entire team of guys in a clan, and it was on shipment. ALL 5 of them camped with noob tubes, and one guy had Juggernaut so I'm pretty sure everyone else did too. And it's not just that one match, the majority of players use M60 LMGs or noob tubes. I'm hoping that Conduit 2 will be balanced, or I'm going to give up on competitive FPS and stick with Metroid Prime.
Btw, that's another game lol. Metroid Prime 1 and 2 are better with motion controls :P
LOL at calling 2-D Mario casual. Mario games started out in 2-D. Is Sonic the Hedgehog 4 all of a sudden a casual game because it's going back to 2-D? Give me a break. I just hope Nintendo puts out more 2-D Mario games. Cant stand the Galaxy series.
InfinityMugen
Lol I hope they do too, but I kind of like Galaxy =P.
I still prefer side-scrolling, though.
[QUOTE="GAMERKID707"]Reflex as a two year old inferior game sold a million copies on the Wii, I would count that as selling a lot. That game definitely sold over its head.if mario sells alot why doesnt good games like call of duty sell alot?im talking bout reflex
Sepewrath
I don't find Reflex good, lol. The hit detection fails, latency issues and there's even more noob tubers on it than the PS3/360 versions. Mario is boss :3
Anyway, disregard my previous post, it seems Obama really did sell NASA. *FacePalm* to myself.
Well, if they manage to pull that off, that will be nice.[QUOTE="Lost-Memory"][QUOTE="intro94"] true as it gets. But reflex does resemble MW a lot just very rough. Treyarch stated its gonna be a looker " for wii (in terms like the best looking wii shooter they said" , so i expect a noticeable jump from Reflex(which looked acceptable to me).wes008
Since Treyarch is developing all versions simultaneously, the Wii version will probably just be a standard definition version. So the E3 screenshots and gameplay are the exact thing. Except they're in HD and the Wii version will be in SD. Can't wait, I love Wii FPSs :).
^ This. If you played CoD4 for the PC, and turned down the settings all the way, you'd get Reflex with a mouse. I don't know though, their going to have some Avatar technology with characters facial expressions and stuff. Don't know if the Wii can handle that. But I'm really excited, though if they don't fix noobtubing I'm going to give this game a pass. It's pretty bad on the Wii.

Again let's talk facts
Mario Galaxy came out at the worst part of the recession
Mario Galaxy 2 came out after the recession and more importantly there's more then double the number of Wii's now
Also the whole "spring release" doesn't hurt games, just take a look at how Wii Fit did
Jaysonguy
Strange then that most big games come out during the Christmas rush, eh? Also, Wii Fit is a completely different beast -- it's not a game but an exercise program that appeals to many non-gamers (much more so than the so-called casual Mario games).
The recession didn't start until late 2008 and the first Galaxy was released a full year before in 2007. Oh, and the economy is still in the dumps so we're hardly out of the recession.
Again here's the facts
THE RECESSION STARTED IN 2007
Everything came to a halt in holiday 2007 and everyone stopped spending in 2007 because they had no idea how far things were going to go
Mario Galaxy was out in that time with less then one half the consoles that are in the world today and did better then Mario Galaxy 2
Yeah, because facts come from Reuters articles. Didn't they say something about Obama selling NASA?
