MGS4 - Especially if you've kept up with the series. Personally, I've only played the first Mgs, but this game definitely kept me entertained and brought back nolgastic memories. In my opinion, as a MGS game the only flaw I would consider in MGS4 would be the lengthy cutscenes, however I don't consider it a flaw at all but that's purely on reference.
GTA4/SR2 - GTA4 was and for me still is a fantastic game. A lot of people didn't like it cause it was too realistic compared to the other GTA games, and other reasons. I honestly don't play it anymore but I still think it's worth getting if you haven't tried it out. Saint rows 2 is another I'll suggest, as the replay value crushes GTA4 in my opinion. I found it a little more fun as there is also a bit more activities, such as parachuting and killing zombies, and also the option to create your own character. The two games both have their pros and cons, but I'll let you research that in your own interest.
Fallout 3 - Guessing you liked Oblivion, you might be interested in looking at fallout 3. Fallout 3 is my first time playing a fallout game. I've played the ps3 version, there are glitches you can cross, and even though it's not as pretty as the 360 version, I think it's still a very enjoyable game.
Other mentions - Little Big Planet, COD5(I still play cod4, so I rented this one), Resistance 2(Haven't played this yet, but considering what most people are saying "it's awesome"), Prince Of Persia(I'm liking this game a lot right now, but it doesn't seem like it's going to last too long after a couple of completes, This game is definitely worth renting if it's not on your list)
