[QUOTE="iOverkill"]Doesnt this seem like a better buy than the Corsair series and considering its brand. I mean they seem to have the same capabilities but the G.SKILL seems to have a better user rating. Plus if i'm not mistaken but G.SKILL is like the Cadillac of ram.GummiRaccoon

I've never met anyone who had any issues with corsair.

Dont get me wrong Corsair's tha **** but isnt G.SKILL a better brand name when it comes to ram?

Hey guys i'm building a new rig but i'm not sure if I should get a 2x2g or just one 4g? What is the difference anyways? A 4g to me seems better because it just gives me an extra slot to buy another 4g when I save up some more cash.

I've gotten my choice down to these two; http://www.newegg.com/Product/ImageGallery.aspx?CurImage=11-119-160-TS&ISList=11-119-160-S01%2c11-119-160-S02%2c11-119-160-S03%2c11-119-160-S04%2c11-119-160-S05%2c11-119-160-S06%2c11-119-160-S07%2c11-119-160-S08%2c11-119-160-S09%2c11-119-160-S10%2c11-119-160-S11%2c11-119-160-S12%2c11-119-160-S13%2c11-119-160-S14&S7ImageFlag=1&Item=N82E16811119160&Depa=0&WaterMark=1&Description=COOLER%20MASTER%20HAF%20932%20RC-932-KKN1-GP%20Black%20Steel%20ATX%20Full%20Tower%20Computer%20Case and http://www.newegg.com/Product/ImageGallery.aspx?CurImage=11-129-043-TS&ISList=11-129-043-S01%2c11-129-043-S02%2c11-129-043-S03%2c11-129-043-S04%2c11-129-043-S05%2c11-129-043-S06%2c11-129-043-S07%2c11-129-043-S08%2c11-129-043-S09%2c11-129-043-S10%2c11-129-043-S11%2c11-129-043-S12&S7ImageFlag=1&Item=N82E16811129043&Depa=0&WaterMark=1&Description=Antec%20Twelve%20Hundred%20Black%20Steel%20ATX%20Full%20Tower%20Computer%20Case Which one do you guys think I should buy?

I plan on upgrading in the future and buying more graphic cards, ram, an SSD, a sound card, and possibly a blue ray player. I'm just wondering what the purpose in different sized towers are and if I will need a full or mid tower?

[QUOTE="6_Dead_360s"]

I'd start with the motherboard, this determines almost all of a pc's compatibility. I'd go with an i7 cpu since your budget is $1500.

-Newegg and tigerdirect are good places to shop for parts online.

-A good gaming rig requires a decent graphics card, usually $200-$600.

-Never skimp on the power supply, a bad one can destroy all the electronics. You should get one from a name brand rated gold for efficiency.

Yeahh I was thinking of buying a 1000w so when I upgrade in the future I wont have to worry about frying my PC because of overpowering and also I wont have to buy another PSU

I'm not sure in what order I should pick my parts in for me to make sure they're all compatable? I'm also not really sure which parts I should pick for a great gaming rig with a spending limit of fifteen hundred? I've been reccomended to buy an Intel Core i5-2500k which it seems affordable and a good buy? Any info or input from you guys only helps me understand this better, thanks! If you decide to add a build on here, please don't add the chassis, keyboard, mouse, or moniter into the spending limit. Lastly if your a first time rig builder like myself and have questions feel free to post them and see if someone more knowledgable than ourselves will awnser them haha.

Yes, the i5-2500k is probably the most popular CPU right now and it kicks butt :) The i7-2600k is also good, but $100 more and is really only more useful if you do a lot of video / photo editing. I think the i5-2500k performs the same or even slightly better for gaming.

Thanks alot! Any other recomended parts? I just looked the i5-2500k up and it's affordable and a great buy.
