Personally, I think it is overrated. I turned 17 in December '07 and its May now... its been 5 months and i still haven't been bothered to book the theory test or driving lessons. I've driven my brother once in a closed car park, and I hated it...found it scary because there was some idiot speeding around in his like Fiat Punto or something (you know them type who 'mod / upgrade' their car and try to impress others when really they're idiots...). Anyways, i still think its a necessary skill and I'm going tot ry and take up lessons in the summer... if i can be arsed :D
