i really enjoyed the original spawn movie released in the 90s. i thought it was great. i haven't watched it in a while but last time i saw it it still held up.
there's probably 3-4 action sequences in the game and there really short. on the 3rd action sequence , i died numerous times and the gun never disappeared on me. about the action sequence where you're hiding from a monster that will kill you instantly if it gets too close. the reviewer says he never gets a hint about what to do or which artifact to look for. he says all the artifacts are nearly identical. but had he bothered to search the piano a few moments back in the sanders' widows mansion, he'd find a clue about what artifact to look for during the shambler sequence.
when searching the piano you get an image of the special dagger you will need to use on the shambler painting. so you'll know what to look for when searching for the artifacts. there's also another hint behind the shambler painting on the ground where u get another picture of the dagger ur supposed to get. so there you go, the reviewer overlooked 1 or 2 minor interactable hotspot and that was enough for him to hate the action sequences in the game. his fault not the game.
its a wonderful game with a solid narrative and great voice acting. sure there are a few grammatical errors but it won't detract from the game because the main narrative is voice acted. the only thing that irked me was when i clicked on a topic on the dialogue wheel and it lead to a convo thread where i couldn't go back and click on the other topics was really disappointing. i wanted to click on them all and get as much information as i could. i was really engrossed with the story and wanted to see more. i fully enjoyed the game.
